    SISU score an own goal

ML was pedalling the "no offer has been made directly to the club" line. CL said, so you're saying no offer has been made?, forcing ML to admit that an offer had been received via the FL. He also pressed ML on costs at Sixfields v the offer for the Ricoh, which ML declined to answer. He...

    SISU score an own goal

To be fair to Clive Eakin he did press ML on tonight's programme.

So why the legal threats then?

The minutes from the Supporters Consultative Group meeting on December 4th

I think it's all pretty clear: The nice Mr ML said that no offer had been made directly to the club and the nice Mr TF said that the offer that hadn't been made to the club was no good and besides he doesn't like the people who made it - so there!

The minutes from the Supporters Consultative Group meeting on December 4th

Summary: We're still doing lots of planning on the new stadium that 6 months ago, we said would be ready in 3 years We won't rent the Ricoh at any price because they're really nasty and we don't like them

Bit confused.... Are you suggesting that Tim is planning to move us to a different country? ;)

Didn't Jimmy Saville threaten to sue people? Didn't Jonathan Aitkin sue the Guardian? Didn't Jeffrey Archer threaten to sue people? etc etc Libel cases are so expensive that the threat of action is often sufficient.

One of those true 'where were you when...' moments

Remember going to University in the 70's and wondering who this guy was, that the "Mandela Bar" in the Students' Union was named after. An amazing inspirational man. RIP.

    Tim says sorry

Only if they'd refused to accept the lower rent that was offered, which would have been a little perverse......

Support the lads...for the final push

If attendances are important, could I make the radical suggestion that SISU accept the offer to return to the Ricoh rent free. The players will get the extra support, SISU will get the extra income. Everyone's a winner.

The Football League and SISU - justify

In dispute with a landlord who wants to give them a rent free deal :)

Interesting. I see pretty much the opposite. There has generally been a fair number of people who talked about equal blame. My view was always that many parties had a hand in creating the background to the problems but that the move to Northampton was an explicit policy of SISU's and...

I think that if SISU/Otium try to compensate for the lost revenue through cost cutting, then given our very low attendances this is likely make us relegation candidates next season. This then of course means that the club would face further income losses (away fans being a major source of...

But that's the whole issue - it hasn't. How much revenue have they lost to get to this position? As we oldies might say - lose a pound to save a shilling....

Talk about wishful thinking..... SISU have said that things were hurting them in the past - when it fitted their agenda. In this case it's caused by their intransigence.

Whether you call it NOPM or not, there can't be any serious doubt that the low attendances at Sixfields are having an impact. ML referenced that ACL had bled the club dry by charging £1.2m per year on rent - well, the reduction in revenue is much more painful than that.

Yep, I posted yesterday that whilst I could completely understand copying the offer to the FL (and to anyone else they could think of), it would have been more sensible to make it directly to Otium.
