Not been following this thread, but just noticed that the difference between 4th and 17th in this league is only two wins. Millwall in 4th on 8 wins, 4 draws, 5 defeats. WBA in 17th on 6, 4, 7.

You're right, it's very daft but strangely enough, tbh there are only two ludicrous choices there. Most of the rest could be contemplated in an unforseen emergency (seeing out time, all subs used ...) because we've got a lot of good footballers. And three of them might even genuinely work.

In a daft moment, I was imagining that the FA had instructed us to field a side with everyone playing completely out of position :unsure: Below is my best stab at it - how many points could we get with this lineup? I don't know whether any outfield players in the squad have ever played in goal...

Why does the "extended" highlights always seem to be pretty much the short highlights but with everything repeated multiple times? It's a missed opportunity to show more of the match.

Lots of people made comments like this at the time, but he always looked good to me. Very unlucky not to have a few goals and assists in those early days. Never any allowances made for players to settle in. To say he didn't look arsed is astonishing 🤷‍♂️

Surely this all depends on how fit he is and what wages he'd demand. If he's in good nick, raring to go, and realistic about money, he'd be a fantastic addition to the squad IMO - always thought he was a very fine player. But if he's struggling at 80% fitness and looking for silly wages we'd be...

I agree with this. They also need to be big enough for those trays of chips and impractical giant cheesy hotdogs that people wander around with. Comfy sofas and footstools would be nice too.

I don't see pace as an attribute really, he's more stocky and very strong for a winger. Holds the ball well, good skills and great attitude to the game. He has plenty of goals in him, and he's really good at winning possession back. Always a threat, and important to the balance of the team...
