I agree he has had a good start to the season however when all of the midfielders are fit he won’t/shouldn’t be first choice. Play your best team.

When everybody is fit, it’s 3 from: Shipley - Decent squad player and has done ok to date this season, but not good enough to start for a promotion chasing side. Spots a decent pass but too often doesn’t pull it off. Westbrook - Same as above, has done well coming out of the cold to starting...

Great start, clever player, looks a bargain. We have to wrap him in cotton wool. He is the difference between contenders, and winners.

For league 1 he is an excellent keeper, especially on a free. It’s inevitable he will get caught out at some point, but the calmness and way he passes it out is a joy to watch. Thought he could have done better with 2 of the Pompey goals but apart from that he has been excellent.

Decent squad player but nothing more. As soon as Allen is fit he will and should be on the bench. As much as I like his passion, we will not get promoted with him as a regular starter in midfield. I’ll await the backlash.

Good point however since I can remember it’s the so called easier teams that we always struggle against. Points are points and you can only beat who is in front of you. Agree, Pompey will be a big test, and even bigger for me personally being that I work with about 50 Pompey fans.

Thomas work rate was outstanding, unfortunately he wasn’t very good at assisting, or scoring which is the first priority of a winger.

i like the look of him. Fast, confident, tricky and seems to have a decent cross on him. The cross where Godden missed his kick was excellent. I think as the season goes on he will prove a better asset for the team than Thomas was.

You don’t just “start a contract”. Hummel were in talks long before the end of last season.
