But that is the football business model for almost every club. You bring in or develop players, some go on to exceed all expectations. You sell these players to offset the running losses and to reinvest in a whole crop of more players. Each time you hope to improve the average ability of the...

Nixon’s track record is very good for EFL transfers. No idea why you would think he is clueless as fuck.

Exclusive By Alan Nixon Scottish side Aberdeen are ready to clinch a deal for Liverpool midfielder Leighton Clarkson - despite a late move from Coventry. The Dons have been working in bringing back Clarkson permanently after a successful loan spell and they are set to meet the asking price...

No chance. His agents job is to maximise club interest in his player, that then strengthens his hand with the players preferred club.

No one likes increases in price or loop holes being closed but in our case both needed to be done. Our tickets were too cheap, people were buying children’s tickets and adults using them, the corporate tickets were still at L2 levels. we can’t have it both ways …. If we want to be a top half...

I’m not surprised that we have not heard from Robins, King or Boddy this last 2 weeks as they are all probably on much deserved holidays. I am surprised though that the Cov Tele never try to interview Austin et al. I think understanding how their last few weeks have been, what a typical day...

I agree with much of this @Deleted member 5849. I don’t think we are blasé but rather realistic. It’s the way football works and particularly at our point in the pyramid. We need to secure as much money as possible and invest it as wisely as possible. A combination of exciting players with profit...

it’s been common place for years now …. The club won’t have any issue with Vik’s agent trying to maximise interest. The only conflict comes when the preferred destination of the player don’t meet the clubs transfer fee aspirations but another club does. if Vik is going then frankly we need...

It maybe of course that Robins and King have discussed all of this and Robins has said he thinks he can thinks he can progress the club more quickly having a larger squad on more modest salaries than he can a smaller squad with 1 or 2 on much much higher salaries. I’m not saying which view is...

So does almost every club in the championship, and on average to a much higher degree than we do. That is why player sales are so important. I don’t think it’s possible to determine your playing budget based on breaking even from non player sales revenues. You would be relegated most seasons.
