Perhaps not but the idea that we should be nervous about playing Stevenage at home is ridiculous. I like the attitude of the Stevenage manager (saying his players should feel aggrieved about every match they lose). We could do with someone with that sort of demanding attitude here.

You might see some positivity when we are not struggling to beat the likes of Stevenage at home and losing to Crewe Alexandra away. Until we start bossing it against these clubs who are a quarter of the size of us then I'm afraid I'm not going to be positive as that would be defeatist.

The way I see it, he was sacked after 60 games not 3. If he had been successful last season does anyone honestly think he'd have only been given 3 games this season? You have to see it in context.

Gary McAllister was a great player and a top bloke. Absolutely awful manager sadly.

A bit odd that Blackwell doesn't appear in this. As someone old enough to remember Dean Holdsworth as a player I'm very surprised he has made it as a manager. Always came across as a total rogue who lacked discipline.

Wish him all the best. He wasn't a good manager and this is the right decision but doesn't mean people have to be celebrating that someone has lost their job. He leaves with his dignity intact.
