    The bare minimum

In order to be competitive in League One (i.e. mid table) which players do people think we need to keep hold of? Sadly it looks like Bigi, Keogh and Cranie are goners so I would say the following need to be retained if we are even going to be a mid-table League 1 side: Gary McSheffrey -...

price put on keoghs head - £1m

Does anyone honestly believe this £1million will be reinvested in players. SISU will do what they have always done - pocket most of the money and bring in cheap loanees to replace experienced and talented professionals.

McPake and ROD likely to leave

Will the last experienced footballer to leave please turn off the lights. We might as well not have a youth team/academy next season as it will be indistinguishable from the 1st team. We are becoming a total joke.

    More from Waggott

I welcome his optimism but he appears to have a talent for saying very little in a long-winded way. He is going to look a bit foolish if Keogh and Cranie both go now. http://www.ccfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10269~2793939,00.html

possibly 11 new signings now if bigi goes

Nothing would surprise me with SISU.

Could SISU be winding CCFC down?

Yes, I largely agree. However it is our club not SISU's and hopefully it will exist a long time after SISU have ceased to exist.

possibly 11 new signings now if bigi goes

I wonder whether SISU will try to sell Sky Blue Sam? He might be playing next season at this rate!

    A petition

Really not sure how anyone could be any worse than SISU. They are the worst owners in the football league surely?

    A petition

Are there any online petitions calling for SISU to leave CCFC? If not, surely someone should set one up as it might just be the best way to demonstrate the strength of feeling about their ownership.

    Coventry former glory's

Sums it all up very well. Once the city was known for its football team and let's not forget its rugby team which has suffered a similar fate. Now the city is famous for, errr, its ice hockey team. No offence to ice hockey but it's not quite got the same appeal...

    ROD Next out the door?

ROD is dreadful. However, if the only alternative is Shaun Jeffers, I'd marginally prefer ROD. However if SISU are planning to bring any new strikers in then he must go.

    Luke McCormick

On a practical level it is going to be difficult for him as goalkeepers are rather exposed on the pitch and will get a lot of stick from away fans. He will be a sitting duck for abuse, not that I am advocating that he should be verbally abused.

City confirm official bids for Keogh & Captancy if he stays

I'd offer Cranie the captaincy as an incentive for him to stay. He's a better player than Keogh, although Keogh is decent.

Surely the minimun token gesture from the club

Perhaps the majority of fans don't read forums, belong to any supporter's groups or even read the Telegraph however I do think the majority take an interest in which players we buy and sell and the general leadership of the club. I think that's where your analysis falls down.

    ROD Next out the door?

My last word on this is that through Thatcher's time in office, Coventry South West, Nuneaton, North Warwickshire (including Bedworth & Atherstone), Leamington, Rugby, Kenilworth and Stratford all returned Conservative MPs. As did much of Birmingham. Granted things have changed slightly since...

    Luke McCormick

Well that's academic as we don't sign players! My personal view is that he should not have come back into football. He should have kept his head down, gone into another trade and built a new life for himself. It is grossly unfair on the family who suffered so much from his actions that he may...

    ROD Next out the door?

That's fair enough. I accept she is a high polarising figure and people have the right to despise her. However where I stop short is this idea that her death should be celebrated in a manner of a dictator like Hitler or a terrorist like Bin Laden. Like her or loathe her, she was democratically...

    ROD Next out the door?

The best PM we ever had in my opinion (although Blair was also good). I had the pleasure of meeting her in person about five years ago. I appreciate others may feel differently but let's not glory in the death of a very frail elderly woman in the advanced stages of Alzheimers.

Surely the minimun token gesture from the club

No interest in watching CCFC while SISU are in charge, still an armchair fan of course. The club is simply unrecogniseable from the one I had a season ticket for over nearly 25 years. I don't recognise the club as being CCFC at the moment, it's a pale, ghostly imitation.

possibly 11 new signings now if bigi goes

I make it 7 players have left since last season - Clingan, Eastwood, Platt, Nimely, Norwood, Herman and Ireland. I also expect at least five more departures before the start of next season - Bigi, Keogh, Cranie, Wood and McPake. With as many as 12 players leaving an already threadbare squad and...
