Are they planning to go and dig someone else's pitch up in the middle of the night?

    Wasps downward spiral...

And to think the council told us we couldn't have an ownership stake in the Ricoh as taxpayer money going to a private business would be state aid!

If we have to loan them the money for a pitch do you think the penny will finally drop with Wasps supporters that they're in the shit

Obviously want it resolved but it will be annoying to say the least if after all this the fix is to do something that could have been done before the season started

Will have to look into that, know a couple of people who work for NEC Group, I'll see what they know. Not that it really matters I guess, we're just going round in circles again.

Surely that must have expired by now. The excuse for the council rushing everything through was a hotel was needed for City of Culture. That's been and gone, as has the CWG, with seemingly zero progress. Why would Richardson get a loan for that anyway, if he wants to build a hotel and profit...

Where has this come from, I've never heard any mention of the NEC Group being offered the complex on similar terms to Wasps.

I got blocked for asking him how we were supposed to build a new ground on a site that was already having houses built on it.

    Will we leave Cov again?

The longer this goes on the worse it looks on Wasps. They were happy to try and shift the blame with the 'get someone independent in' but now that's happened and they've said the pitch is shit they've gone very quiet. We're also past the 'play a few games away' point now as well. There is zero...

Good comeback but that's not a total that should worry Phoenix. Disappointing crowd. Keep being told how popular the Hundred is and how pretty much every game is sold out but every time I turned the TV on there's banks of empty seats.

This is the worry. We seem to be struggling with reversing fixtures so surely there's a limit to how many games the EFL will allow to be called off before there's a huge problem. Its not like there's a plan and a date when the pitch will be ready.

The only way we're playing in Leicester is if we share with Tigers which would be slightly ironic. Leicester City have too much money to need rent of us and the extra work it would bring wouldn't be worth the hassle for them.

Says it all, Wasps have been very quick to run to a compliant local media in the past, if they now refuse to speak to them you have to question why. The idea we would just gift a pitch is complete nonsense, if we pay for it that money needs to come back one way or another.

If we have to move out of the city because Wasps can't provide a pitch that's safe to play on that should be the end of Wasps in Coventry, doesn't matter if they go bust or not.

This is the sort of thing the local media should be over. Is there even a pitch available if we handed someone the cash today. Is there a surplus to requirements pitch ready to go as with the Leeds / Spurs situation. Would also like to see the local media pressing Wasps on what exactly they...

That was all published as part of the court case after the Wasps purchase wasn't it. How would any other third party who may have been interested have known? The simple fact is if you want to achieve best return you market your asset. If a second bidder had shown an interest the price...

They may have known we'd moved out but even that isn't guaranteed, that doesn't mean they knew a 250 year lease that was never marketed was available.

Why would it have to be a football club? Who would have ever said a London rugby club would be interested in buying a stadium in Coventry. Of course its not just the stadium. You may well have had someone who was interested in the other parts of the complex and then sublet the stadium bowl to...

There was never any indication it was available with anything more than the 38 years remaining on the initial lease. In fact when it was suggested that to make it a viable purchase the freehold would be needed it was ridiculed. IMO the 250 is, to all intents and purposes, not that far removed...
