Some of you older lot on here maybe better placed to remember or answer this question, but can anyone remember an instance where an owner has publicly come out in front of fans after a manager has been sacked, to face the fans and answer questions on it, in a forum environment? Or is this a...

Right who's the next manager then?

Yeah that's all well and sound Deity, but who do you want as the next manager :ROFLMAO:

Right who's the next manager then?

Don't know HDW. It was something a friend mentioned to me recently and again yesterday, no *reason to* doubt it's validity, but I've really not asked to much about it.

Right who's the next manager then?

Would make a lot of sense. FL has pedigree of being a good player, he's worked in the Championship and Premier League, he was good for the development of younger players, as he's not attached to a Club he'd be free to sign for no compensation and could start immediately. I said on here...

Right who's the next manager then?

You'd like to hope (or at this point pray) that the new Head Coach will be confirmed very quickly, International Break on the horizon, plenty of time to get their ideas across if they are appointed quickly and work with a large number of the group. Ideally we don't want this dragging on too long.

I would ask, whilst understanding that recent results have not been up to the levels expected of fans and the club, however by your own admission we had a “fantastic manager at the helm of this club” who in 2023 you gave a new four year deal too. What has changed to enable you to make this...

    Mark Robins managing another team

It’s happened before when he came back to the Arena with Scunthorpe after his first spell and it was weird that night. It’ll be strange to see him in the opposite dugout, but that’s all it will be. Fans need to put their support behind whoever the next manager/head coach will be.

The only people responsible for not getting results on the pitch are the players, the coaching staff and recruitment team. Unfortunately in football managers have always taken the punishment, players get away with it a lot more.

Right who's the next manager then?

I totally agree with you FF, points in your post I’ve argued myself on here, but I do see that potential candidates looking at City from the outside could be put off by how MR has been treated. Gyokeres and Hamer got videos to the fans and especially designed images by the club to thank them...

Right who's the next manager then?

To those saying it is an attractive opportunity to join, yes it will be, but to balance that, some may be put off by the fact that seems to be little loyalty shown to one of the best managers in our history and the expectation coming in. Whoever comes in will need to be confident of hitting the...

Because if you take the cup away we spent what £20m+ and we failed to challenge consistently for the playoffs and in the end fell short. In addition, we also had a bit of fortune last season that our season suddenly changed around when COH came back from injury, there is no rabbit to pull out...

I'm sorry if you don't believe there was just cause, but results weren't good enough this calendar year, that's the root cause of it. Does he deserve more time, not for me to say, but the owner has pulled the trigger he obviously feels he can make an appointment to get us out of this situation...

So what about this season then "ya fluff" still a good season, is that a fact as well?

It did happen and it got him some more time, but that was never going to last forever.

Yeah great come back, completely pointless in fact. Minority or not he's gone, time to move past it.

Being gutted and it not being unexpected are two different things, clearly some Cov fans can't understand that.

He's had time to turn it around, more than other managers would get that's for sure. Without FA Cup SF the season wouldn't have been good enough and this season's it's been poor. He built it up alongside the club to aim for top six and promotion this season and we aren't close. Whether you...

And this is the reason he's been given the boot and rightly so, on results alone.
