There’s stuff on the surveillance reports around contract tracing contacts (likely close contact) but it’s not 100%. Ps I’d imagine though as the spread increases so does the risks in busier/confined external places as you’d be around more people who are likely to have it thereby increasing...

Of course in terms of own households but visitors to people’s homes is still believed to be the highest risk of contagion (makes sense when you think of how much external places are cleaned, sprayed, masks being worn in shops, confined spaces etc). How often do people social distance around...

It sounds like (and I’m guessing and taking some bits from what I’ve read/heard), that next it will be pubs closing earlier/curfews. The highest risk of contagion still appears household related, when other areas start catching up they’ll have to start closing them. I’ve said before though, my...

Sweden’s a funny one. I’ve seen some comments (from inside and out) thinking they fucked up, others not. Nobody will know until you look back in years to come and see the deaths/illnesses over the period of the whole outbreak and the impact of lockdowns (on economy, schooling and other...

Championship Club Membership - 1st Sept

If you have any trustworthy mates, sell your ifollow sub details at a discount and buy the membership plus tick (probably not strictly legal but 🤷‍♂️). Guessing you’ll need to register the new ifollow one under different email address

Championship Club Membership - 1st Sept

Surprised by this, think it’s a bargain (and was shocked to get one yesterday - not complaining). I know Wycombe and Luton fans, both paid full price in the hope of giving themselves the best chance of getting in if it’s reduced capacity

I agree with stricter local measures but another national lockdown....really ?! People couldn’t go about their lives during the lockdown, that was the issue (If we knew if/when a vaccine was coming I’d agree but surely they’ll just continue to be spikes until then, it’s managing them that will...

Probably four years to next election though NW (although wouldn’t shock me until Johnson left before end of his term). If you’re not the best then at least get as good a team around you as possible...that’s his major failing to date

It will most probably happen here though Dave, its a pandemic with no current vaccine. It’s what’s then done to manage nhs capacity, treat it etc etc that is probably the main focus. Ps if they don’t sort the track and trace app to go live in the next week or so as planned it will be another...

Haha, thought you might’ve read that Rebel Ideas by now and accepted or at least acknowledge some different/diverse views and thoughts. Maybe not Youre right though my views haven’t really changed much ie shield those most at risk and everyone low risk try to maintain as normal a life as...

Not questioning there are rises but still need some context Fernando. I took a couple of pics from the gov numbers a few days back, for example on 6 Sept Patients in hospital (covid) 756 Patients on ventilators 69 Patients admitted 124 (although think this had been stuck for a few days)...

I stand corrected about PPE, shouldn’t have lumped it in (I only do it for the back handed ‘intelligent’ comments 😉). I think the testing set up was originally the responsibility PHE though (appreciate not standard remit but they were overseeing it) then wasn’t it moved after the initial...

Yeah, this was true Tony. From memory PHE apparently wanted to control everything centrally so were really slow to also involve uni and private labs. As I’ve said before ministers should rightly take flack for under performing departments but PHE were pretty shambolic at the start (PPE, testing...

If they’re running at lab capacity (anyone know what this is, I know it says 380k but that can’t be right for the labs ?) then there’s not a lot we can do for the time being. If we’re not, then Hancock and the lady running it need to go as it’s unacceptable. Hancock should just come out and...

Agree 100% Fernando and obviously steps should be taken to ensure we remain within capacity limits which is what I think is happening already, even though we are hopefully some way off. I think people have misinterpreted what I’m saying, I’m not saying let’s just ignore the uptick and hope the...

I think the actual case numbers are estimated anywhere around 3-4m. It will certainly not be anywhere near 10% death rate from the various studies around the world.
