Allen is starting to look as it he has run himself into the ground. It would be good to get Callum on but probably a bit early for his fitness level yet.

Pleased to see Kitching starting, the return of the box formation and Haji Wright getting a start. PUSB :)

I like the thought of starting Wright on his own up front. You can tell from the YouTube clips that he has some talent, even though we haven't seen it yet. We need to start him for a few games - either as a lone striker or as one of a pair - and hope that he takes his chance to seal a starting...

Would D K wield the axe?

The way things are going at Birmingham, Rooney will soon be available. 🤣🤣🤣

    Next three matches

It's difficult at the moment to see where the next win is going to come from or even the next goal. We have a midfield that isn't creating chances for the strikers and three strikers that can't convert the few half-chances that do fall their way.Throw an error-prone defence into the mix and it...

Thanks to Wood and Atkinson having a bit of fun in a lost cause at the end we are only ninth, ahead of Afghanistan on NRR by two one thousands of a run. 😡

We just need Willey and Rashid to put on 300+ for the 7th wicket and we are in with a shout. 🤣

We could easily lose this by 200-250 runs, in which case there is a chance we will be rock bottom of the table on NRR.

Match Thread Bristol City FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Oct

I'm looking forward to seeing Tats in the number 10 role. We mustn't judge him just on today, so I would like to see him given a few games in that role to see how he gets on. If he runs at defenders the way we know he can then he could be a handful.

My favourite format is test cricket, so the 50 over matches still seem very short to me 😊

I agree. Being a cricket umpire is a tough job. Imagine that you have been on your feet in that searing heat for seven hours, the new ball has just been taken and the pacemen are getting it to swing and seam. Your job is to determine whether that wobbling ball delivered at 90+ mph has pitched...

How many points do you wise people think we will pick up against Bristol City (A), Rotherham United (A) and WBA (H)? Personally I would be content if we could pick up five, with a win against Rotherham and draws in the other two. Any more than that would be excellent.

    Birmingham

Birmingham are in the play-offs as things currently stand, which has been something of a rarity for them in recent years. Eustace has done a good job with them. The owners are bonkers.

It was a light-hearted comment, my point being that I don't care that he didn't have to beat a defender in the air because he scored a lovely headed goal 😊
