I just can't understand this thing against Burge. Yes, he could have done better for the first goal, but he was also let down by the marking, couldn't do anything about the second goal, made a brilliant save 1 v 1 when it was still 2 -1. Yet Shipley scores an 8.5/7 when he was guilty of giving...

Video Forest Green Rovers v Coventry

2 players rooted to the spot when Burge made the save for the first one, and then 4 players around the man who slips the ball to the player who scored the winner.....I expect Robins not too happy with the defending

Match Thread Coventry City vs Cambridge United Match Thread - Tuesday 30th Jan

Not sure they played the ball back to their keeper very many times, except for the one McNulty chased down. They seemed more content to put it in row z, especially in the first half. Clearly Burge needs to work on his kicking from the back passes, but as I said earlier, I think his dead ball and...

    Player Ratings vs Cambridge

Both Grimmer and Shipley took nasty knocks and spent a long time recovering from them - Grimmer was taken out cynically by their full-back which should have been a yellow card, likewise Shipley, who was kicked early in the second half.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Cambridge United Match Thread - Tuesday 30th Jan

Can't believe how bad the pitch was - from the pictures early in the thread it looked OK, but sitting in row H it was plain to see how awful it was. I think that Burge's poor licking, from balls played back to him is down to the pitch -m he must dread anything coming back towards him - certainly...

    MK Ticket Pricing

The below section is copied from the Football Supporters Federation site, it was published before Man Utd played Derby in the third round, and I guess that they probably know what the current rules are:- "Last year, the FA changed the competition rules in the FA Cup to allow host clubs to...

And Jacob Murphy is getting regular starts in the Premiership.....who would have thought it?

    MK Ticket Pricing

It is now down to the home team only to set the price, so we'll just have to accept what they decide

Finally, somebody in the media has noticed:

SBW - I agree wholeheartedly, but then I'd raise the question of why the journalists at our local newspaper don't seem capable of doing their jobs properly?

Finally, somebody in the media has noticed:

2 things. Firstly, the Guardian has been a long-time supporter of our cause, running a number of articles on the mis-management of our club, and asking more questions about SISU than several on here have done. Secondly, "only" 48000 turned up to see Spurs play AFC Wimbledon this weekend - our...

Round 4 : who do you want ?

I'd like to avoid the biggest teams, and would prefer someone like Newcastle, Leicester or Southampton at home - the first two would guarantee a really great atmosphere, and Southampton would be similar to today, and almost as beatable.

Unless we get one of the Big 6 Premier clubs in the 4th round, and they guarantee a ticket if you go to the Swindon game......

    Ex Player Watch

And Gary ("most useless striker we've ever had") Madine continues to be the focal pointy in Bolton's attack, and continues to score goals for them in the Championship. Another one who was immediately disliked by many "supporters".

    Video Carlisle v Coventry

Not a good penalty, but DKE might have got to the rebound if the 2 Carlisle players hadn't encroached..........irritates me how that rule, along with keeper holding the ball for more than the 6 seconds before kicking it, seem to be forgotten/ignored by refs.

    Police yesterday

Hats off to the 800 who made such a long trip on the back of such a poor performance at Port Vale, especially at this time of the year with so many fixtures. Glad that the result made it worth the time and effort. PUSB

    Friday night games

On the original point, I enjoy the atmosphere that seems to be generated during the evening games, and the odd game on a Friday might be worthwhile. I understand some season-tickets holders don't agree (what do they do for Tuesday night games?), but others might be in agreement. As far as Wasps...

    Coventry 3 Wycombe 2 Highlights

Yet here I am thinking he did well to win the ball back and get a shot off despite being off balance....hoping he breaks his duck soon, as his all round play is pretty good. Also think both penalties were very soft, and McNulty should be kicking himself for not having a hat-trick - great ball...

Stoke Details Confirmed - Saturday 6th January

I saw this on the Football Supporters Federation website :- "Last year, the FA changed the competition rules in the FA Cup to allow host clubs to charge whatever they pleased in FA Cup ties – previously ticket pricing had to be agreed by both clubs. That minor change to the rules saw Reading...

    Players leaving in Jan window

From what I've seen, and heard about Nazon, I don't think he would make the step-up to Charlton's level. He should stay with us and concentrate on getting himself fully fit and learning about football being a team game - he is clearly quite a prospect, but we have said that about others before...
