Charge what you can mate, make a shed-load of money, and buy SISU out!!
  2. ps1948

    Biamou

Why reply when you can't see the point. Not many people agree with your opinion as far as Biamou is concerned, yet you constantly let us know he is the worst striker you've ever seen, but won't compare him to other strikers we've had because they didn't play for us in Division 4/League 2. When...

    PUSB

Wasn't that the same game that Jim Blyth was unbeatable - even saved a penalty from Phil Neal at the (our) Kop end?
  4. ps1948

    Retained List

Been elsewhere today, but picking up on "THE BET", how come Grendel has set the bar so high, ie 10 goals in the season, when he says how poor Biamou is to have scored only 5 in League 2 this season. So he's putting a bet out that Max will score double that number in a higher league - incredible...

    THE master stroke...

And post number 7 in the same thread, "A team who can't handle the pressure of Yeovil at home ain't going up via the play offs". WRONG!
  6. ps1948

    Retained List

For the record, he scored 5 goals in 39 appearances, of which 20 were starting 11, where he was subbed off, and 19 were substitute appearances. He then scored 2 in 3 starting appearances in the play-offs, where he was subbed off in each game. Let's just hope that Allassani hits the ground...

    Retained List

How about John Gayle, Yakubu and Kyle Lightbourne, to name just a few that spring into my mind?
  8. ps1948

    Hyam

Not about Hyam, who certainly bounced back from that dreadful game he (and the rest of the defence) had against Yeovil, but in response to the underlined comment - what if you buy 37 year olds, at the end of their career, who have been let go after helping their team to win promotion?

Looks like the players enjoyed themselves last night

He spent the night with Grendel

    Congratulations

I remember being really impressed with Exeter fans on the day they came up to the Ricoh in pretty large numbers for a League Cup game a few years ago, and backed their team constantly throughout - Exeter played good football that day too!
  11. ps1948

    Sympathy for Shrewsbury & Exeter.

I have sympathy for the fans of those clubs as well. But the competition rules now include the play-offs, and all teams are happy (I presume) with that format when the season kicks off, so they have to take the disappointment of not going up if they fail in the play-offs. It has meant over the...

Hong Kong - Squad Meet Up!

Nick, I read it that he nipped out for the half-time break, then legged it for the train straight after the game - certainly hope that was the case!!

Hong Kong - Squad Meet Up!

Bloody bandwaggoners!! Seriously folks, a really good turn out, hope you had as good a time as we did.

    Doyle... captain, leader, legend.

Be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets from the Pompey fans next season, hopefully it will be a positive one!

    Liverpool keeper

Alex Ferguson, in his auto-biography, was very satisfied with Edwin van de Saar, who he thought very highly of. Then went out and got de Gea!!

    SHIT ON THE VILLA!!

    8.15 Piccadilly

So hopefully Grendel, you will be going to support the whole team, and not booing the two in particular who you don't support?

    CCFC v Wolves Division 2 champions 1967

I was lucky enough to be there, along with most of the boys and men who had been attending my Aunt and Uncle's wedding reception at the Wyken Pippin - I recall being passed down to the front, and somehow managing to find my dad after the game in all of the chaos!

Guess The Crowd v Notts County

I've been waiting for blocks behind the goal to go on sale - will see if they do tomorrow. If not, will buy in block 27 and (hopefully) go and sit in 29 or 30 on the night.
