Why the criticism of Mansfield fans actually predicting their own team to win? I'm sure they are the same as us, and would want their team to win every game - look at some of the predictions on our site - although we obviously have more than a fair share of pessimists.

Their Manager is unlikely to say that they don't fancy their chances and that they might as well not turn up......even if he is really thinking that. It's a good draw for us, with a good chance of getting through to Round 3, but let's not start to count our chickens, we know what usually happens...

Having watched the highlights, why don't you highlight the fact that despite having 18 shots at goal, only one went in? If the outfield players had just shot either side of the keeper then we probably wouldn't be having this dissection of whether Burge was at fault.

There is no one at fault for the first goal except Willis, and for the second I think Stokes should have done better. Instead of trying to blame Burge for every goal that he concedes, let's acknowledge that sometimes he can't save them, and apportion the blame elsewhere, if indeed, we have to...

Is that the same right foot that crossed the ball for the second goal, and also almost scored? Or the one that shot weakly and should have scored? Good to see Jones going round the outside of defenders, means they can't rely on him always cutting inside - he is progressing well.....

Inclined to agree, but then I saw that Notts County are above us in the league, having won 4 of their 5 games since losing to us (and not looking very good) on the opening day.

Southampton - via sponsorship from Virgin Media - are charging £20 for away fans at all of their Premiership matches this season. The rest of the Premiership has adopted a £30 away fan charge - given the higher quality of much of the football, I think our £22 (without the pie!) is still dreadful.

Looking at Newport's form at the end of last season, which was tremendous, and their start to this season, I think if we shouldn't be over-confident. Look at how many games he played last year, in the league we now find ourselves in. I don't think he will find it too hard. Glad to see him back, wish we'd gone for him a couple of years ago, although I would agree that he was probably not good enough for the Championship.
