All signs pointing towards a ST signing at some point before this window closes - as per the update from the Bulgarian journalist regarding Ntelo. We’re actively looking to bring players in, that’s obvious. Expecting untested youngsters to fill the squad depth is just not acceptable and unfair...

Apparently it was a Darmstadt player that was receiving treatment - praise the lord.

We’ll see, I’ll pay a lot more attention to the starting teams we field against Everton and Werder Bremen. The starting 11 against MK Dons and Exeter last season was more or less the starters against Leicester. Last season, Thomas was favoured over Lati at CB so I’m struggling to think what...

It’s the 3rd preseason game and atm, the strongest XI hasn’t been available.

Match Thread SV Darmstadt v Coventry

In league games, Thomas has almost always started ahead of Lati and preseason isn’t really proof anything would’ve changed.

In fairness, a few of the injured players are probably kept out of the squad as a precaution as opposed to being injured. Generally, we’ve got a strong cohort of about 20 senior players. So we’re in a better place than most years. Realistically, we need to bump that up to 23-25 to deal with the...

The people who reckon Obikwu, Dausch and Tavares could replace Simms and Wright effectively ought to be careful what they wish for! 😂

Indeed it was and that’s about my speed now - at uni it was a bit quicker. It’s never a good idea HH, the hangovers I get now compared to uni are really bad!

    The Olympics

We’ve got to be aware of our own talents. Some rugby boys put in Germany tried to challenge me to a pint off (a rugby boy custom) and to humble-brag, I surprised the gentlemen (and myself) in question. I’ve still got it! 😂

    Summer transfer window 2024

Listen to MRs post-Stevenage interview. He heavily implies that Obikwu has improved ‘a level’ and we’ll likely loan him out. My own opinion is that him being a starter at L1/L2 level is better for him than being 4th choice with us. He’s got that raw attributes to be a good player, it’s about...

To be fair, if pint downing was a sport, I’d be in with a chance of an Olympic medal…

I like Andrews, think he looks like someone that can develop into a good player. Like Eccles did, a loan to L1 best serves his development at this stage imo. The same applies to Obikwu and perhaps Dausch (may need another year in the development team) too in my book.

    Callum O'Hare

Agreed. Equally, COH has been overrated sections of the support. His impact past February wasn’t where you’d expect a ‘premiership quality’ player to be at. Yet, I’m in two minds on whether that because he didn’t have a full preseason or not. There’s a reason Prem teams passed on him; question...

    New Assistant Manager

Some fans just expect football clubs owned by owners who are benefactors. We’re not all so lucky to be owned by an oligarch or sovereign state. We froze season tickets prices after a year were commercially, would’ve been sensible to rise prices. The product we’re putting out is fantastic, in...

    New Assistant Manager

Apparently, he upset a lot of the newer players. Generally, quite ‘old school’ and considered an ‘complicated’ character by people at the club. What that actually means specifically. That snippet of info I was told by a friend at the Hull home game - all 3rd or 4th hand info. Which I took with...

    Summer transfer window 2024

We’ve gone over this before. There isn’t the coverage you need for a long campaign and if either Wright, Simms, EMC gets injured… you can’t have players simultaneously covering 2-3 positions. That is, if you expect to be pushing at the top of the table which is our goal. Tavares has scored two...

    New Assistant Manager

No, but if he’s loaning the club money he wouldn’t get it back so would lose significant sums. He’s doing a good job atm, I don’t get this section of supporters that are so sceptical of him. Commercially, we were a mess during SISU and the relationship so poor, the couldn’t increase prices at...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Even if we bring in loans, it still doesn’t mean our business is over. Robins can’t moan about squad depth and keep the squad size the same and still below the benchmark of 22/23 season. The overall quality is higher Counting our injured at the moment, our starting midfield is Allen, Rudoni and...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Management wouldn’t confirm that - Robins said the other day he’ll never talk about transfer. By all accounts, we’d signed Stamenic barring the formality of signing the contract. The initial reports said Stamenic ‘hesitated’ and lo and behold, when Forest came in he ditched us. From that, it’s...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Well, he came through the academy at Barnet, so hasn’t gone through the conventional route with that ‘Premiership pedigree’. He’s dragged himself up the leagues and since he’s got to Peterborough, been a stand out player for them! I’m pretty sure Toney had a similar journey from Peterborough...
