    Modern day legends

Oakey was a right back! Alongside Kevin McDonald, Perdomo was the slowest player I ever saw and would have lost a foot race with Jan Molby. He was suited to continental football at that time but not the fast pace of English football. Other than that I agree with you :)

    Supporters forum 17th January

The obvious question has to be what plans the club have to maximise the stadium capacity, instead of leaving 2,000+ seats not utilised? I also agree with questioning the approach of opening ticket availability block by block, leading to many people hold off from buying when single tickets are...

If we could only win one ...

I was there too. It was near the end of the game, and the stewards/ police that had been there earlier had pretty much vacated the divide between the fans, presumably to deal with crowd control as fans left the stadium. Despite not looking likely to all game, Man City scored right in front of...

Sorry, but Bamford has to win that.

FA CUP 4TH ROUND DRAW - MONDAY 19:50 (ish)

The reaction on here is so predictably knee jerk, just like on a match day thread, and some of you need to take a serious look at yourselves. This is not the worst possible draw we could have got! Away days to Watford, Swansea, Ipswich, Leeds, Plymouth, Luton or Bournemouth would all have been...

    Matty Godden

Yes it is disgraceful. I would hope though that Godden would have the sense to know that any such mail is/ was not representative of City fans, and that not acknowledging those supporting him and chanting his name is counter productive, and the wrong way to make a point.

    Strategy: FA cup

MR's aversion to the cup is overblown, certainly in terms of the FA Cup anyhow. The League Cup is a non event now, barring drawing a real big club or getting as far as the semis, and it never bothers me when we lose in it, beyond the annoyance on the night itself. The FA Cup though is a...

FA CUP 4TH ROUND DRAW - MONDAY 19:50 (ish)

I'd like us to go as far as possible, so nice winnable home game please. Save the 'big' club until Quarter Finals :) If we get drawn away I hope it is at least to a team with a big away allocation so our supporters get a good day out.

    Leicester

There have been countless times when we have had similar stories at previous 'big' games. If there were any away supporters in our seats at those games then they sat on their hands and stayed quiet. I would expect similar this time. If they choose to actively support Leicester at best they will...

    Left back needed

McCallum has to be a possible signing at the end of the season, when his contract ends at Norwich. I'm quite happy with Bidwell right now though.

    Transfer targets

What's that 'There are lies, damn lies, and there are statistics' quote? Whenever I see these xg and other stats there's a bit of me that just doesn't buy into them. I am suspicious of how they are compiled, who compiles them, and the values made up to make the stats. The only real 'statistic'...

    Transfer targets

Langstaff is playing in a more attacking team who score lots of goals. I suspect if Langstaff were playing for Wimbledon and Al Hamadi for County that Al Hamadi would have scored more goals. I also think Al Hamadi is a more rounded player and offers more than just goals, while also being younger...

    Ayari

Beat me to it. A lot of the comments on here about Ayari would have been said about Gyokores by Swansea fans when he joined us. Wouldn't be surprised if he does well at Blackburn, although not quite to Gyokores levels!

    Transfer targets

Remember you persistently wanting us to sign Panzo for 2 seasons before we actually did  Hopefully this lad will be better should we end up signing him.

    Ayari

While it hasn't worked out for Ayari, I tend to agree that he has nevertheless been harshly judged by many on here. I think there is a decent player there, its just a matter of whether we ever get to see it in our colours. Ultimately, I am happy to trust the judgement of MR as to whether he...

    Transfer targets

From what I have seen Longstaff is an out and out poacher. If we are looking at that level I would much prefer us to go for Al Hamadi who is younger, and seems to have a much more rounded game about him, with I think more scope to improve.

    Sheff Wed Away

We were more packed in for the quarter final than Leeds were for the semi. Having been to Hillsborough before I knew to head for the side of the terrace for the quarter final, but even there after Houchen made it 2-1 my feet barely touched the ground until the end of the match. Was a very weird...
