    Tonight's attendance

If they bring 6,000 then there should be around 17,500. If not, then my guess is around the 14,800 mark. Nearly 15,000. Not a bad crowd for the Capital One Cup. Attendances are always down at every club at this stage of the competition.

    The new manger should

Totally agree. In fact i posted something similar earlier on. He would be a terrible appointment. League 2 football will be a possibility if he takes charge.

    Kevin Blackwell-Daily Express

I wouldn't say so. He inherited two very good Championship squads at Leeds and Sheff Utd, and STILL failed to get them promoted. He also took two footballing sides at the time and turned them into kick and rush merchants. Both Leeds and Sheff Utd's demise arguably started with Blackwell...

    Kevin Blackwell-Daily Express

Good shout. A very good manager. Although he left Barnsley because he didn't get on with the board. Not sure this job would appeal to him in that case.

    Paul Tisdale

I've only ever heard good things about his managerial ability. Why do they want rid? Either way, i don't think the Cov job would be for him. I'd put several managers ahead of him, even Wisey!

BBC SPORT : Wise and Blackwell among Coventry applicants

I'd rather Wise than Blackwell. Please not Blackwell, he's a hoof ball merchant.

Kevin Blackwell appears to be favourite for the job according to the Daily Mail. I hope this isn't true, it would be a shocking appointment. He hasn't got a clue about football, only the kick and rush stuff. The man didn't like Britton and Dyer because they liked to pass the ball. Look at...

    Thomas Ince

Class act. Hope he doesn't panic like Matt Phillips and stays with Blackpool. I'm sure his dad will advise him to stay. Pool have every chance of getting back to the Premier afterall. I think he could end up playing for England.

    Theory!

Not a bad theory. I wouldn't be suprised.

    Bobby Gould

Definately. :D He could work with Richard Shaw at least in the short term. Two people that care for the club. I think it would be a recipe for success.

my vote would be Gordan Strachan or Dennis Wise

Definately not Dennis Wise. Would be open to Strach coming back but don't think he would. It tends not to workout second time around in any case.

Please not Megson or Micky Adams or Di Canio or Redknapp or Mcleish. Who the f**k devised this list? Megson is 100% more negative and miserable than AT. Micky Adams is not much better. Di Canio is a pr**k, as is Mcleish, and Redknapp only goes somewhere he's got pots of gold to...

Poll: Who should be next manager of Coventry City?

I think Billy Davies would be a great appointment. Would certainly get Cov out of League 1. Not sure he'd put up with the current board though.

    The Coventry job is attractive.

SISU aside, the squad is one of the best in League 1. A little bit of positivity is all is needed and promotion will be achieved.

    Andy Thorn Rumour Thread

Some of the rumours are very funny, i'll miss the AT entertainment factor. A colourful character to say the least. Reality is he didn't do a very good job from start to finish. I do think he has actually assembled a good team for League 1, but he was never going to be able to inspire them...

Dennis Wise - alternative choice as manager?

There's nothing to suggest Dennis Wise would be any better than Andy Thorn. I don't think Gary Johnson or Sean Dyche would make much of a difference either. The club needs some energy about the place, so Richard Shaw might be an ideal replacement, should it be neccessary. Although the results...

what a finish by andy reid

Both were top class goals. Andy Reid is a very good footballer. Sean O'Driscoll will get 'em to playoffs, top manager.

    Size of todays crowd anyone?

I think just under 11,000 today. Not good. :(

    Portsmouth- what on earth

I agree. Luton were properly screwed. It's almost like it was some sort of conspiracy to get them out the football league. It's one rule for one. The fa can't suck pompey off enough. Their financial mismanagement was far worse than Lutons, yet because they're deemed to be a so called bigger...
