    Waggott on twitter

That's probably put a third of the candidates off, possibly more. Most managers like to bring in their own backroom staff these days.

Di Canio subs his keeper after 20 minutes!

He certainly would. I can't stand him. He's a joke. Hope he gets the sack and crawls back under the stone from which he came. :jerkit:

    It's a no from me.

    Forget promotion

I think the team is good enough. A few week links at the moment, but hopefully the new manager will sort them out. The Brum game showed what the team is capable of. Negativity is still at the heart of the club i fear and needs ripping out.

    Why boo a player?

Personally i never boo. Never have and never will. No good can come of it. It just creates an even more negative atmosphere. When has unconstructive abuse of a person ever resulted in a positive response or outcome? It not only affects the individual but the team as a whole.

Would you take midtable in the league and a JPT final ?

No chance. The league is more important. It's more reflective of how good a team is. Plus promotion guarantees decent opposition every week. Attendences and atmospheres are better. A trip to wembley would be a nice day out, but would just paper over the cracks. It's still possible to...

Does anyone still want Shaw as the new boss?

At first i did. I thought he would be the man to take Cov forward. After Sat and last night, i'm not so sure. He needs a very good result at the weekend to have any chance now. Even then i don't think it will be enough. I'm unsure about Dennis the menace. Maybe give Mark Robins a chance?

£200k towards the rent and season ticket holders only

They should issue around 10,000 tickets if sense prevails. Gooney fans don't want to watch them in the Premier, never mind the League Cup.

    City on the telly? (again)

Shaw: I won't ditch the diamond

I would be dissapointing if Richard Shaw didn't get the chance to show what he can do. At least for a month. Maybe until after the Arsenal game? He deserves that at least.

    City on the telly? (again)

No chance City will be on. Leeds v Everton, Saints v Sheff Wed, Crawley v Swansea and even MK Dons v Sunderland will be ahead of Cov. Arsenal are hardly the flavour of the month.

    Lee Clarke

Lee Clarke did a great job at Huddersfield, but the circumstances were totally different. He had time to bring in his own players with the money made available and got them playing the way he wanted. As a result they were excellent. He just couldn't get over the line with them in League 1...

    The JPT

Value for money and an excellent chance to get to Wembley. Burton won't be a push over given their recent results. I think the club should take the comp seriously. Look what it did for the Saints.

    Next round draw tonight

Would love to get Villa at home. The timing is perfect given their form. It could be a massacre! 4-0 Cov!!

    Transfer Deadline Day

I can't forsee anything happening, not with the current managerial situation the way it is.
