    Very true.

    Phil Brown

I didn't think so at first, but after thinking about it, i think he would have been a good appointment. I forget he took Millwall to the FA Cup final and got them a place in Europe! Unbelievable!!

    Phil Brown

    Are you sure?!

    Just wandering...

Changing the clubs colours or nickname or club crest isn't going to make things better. A billionaire taking over the club would though.

    Phil Brown

He does look like a mobile phone salesman. He's always got one of those idiotic ear pieces in.

 Yes! He'll be tantastic!! ;)

    shaw for tranmere

Would be nice to know who the new manager will be before Tranmere. Might give the fans and players a lift. Will need it against one of the best teams in the league. Talking of Tranmere, why didn't the board consider Ronnie Moore for the job?

    Phil Brown

    I think he'll do a good job.

    CCFC Goal Of The Month

Tough to choose between Flecks and Jeffers goals. I would have given it Jeffers tbh. He'll not score many as good as that in his career.

    lets get real

I'd give it to either Phil Brown or Dennis Wise. They're the best two options. After that, i might be happy with Chris Wilder or Mark Robins. The rest are very poor options for me.

    SSN: Phil Brown being interviewed!

I don't mind Phil Brown. I think he's the most sensible option that i've heard about so far. He did fantastic things for Hull. Better than most names mentioned. I'd give him a chance.

    CCFC's Lowest ebb ?

All the teams you mention that got promoted did so because of supportive boards with a bit of cash to spend. It wasn't just because of the Manager, it was a combination of the two. Sadly, the Luton Town situation is more comparable.

    Staunton fav for job

Something does smell fishy. Who could he possibly be looking at?

    CCFC's Lowest ebb ?

Forget about what's gone before, focus on the realities of now. Stevenage are a very good side and only narrowly lost to one of the best sides in League 1 last season in the playoffs. In fact, a bit of luck and they could be a Championship club right now. They are everything Cov aren't. They...

    Staunton fav for job

What a terrible list. Gary Megson!? Even their own didn't want that :jerkit:. I think Sean Dyche, Dennis Wise and Mark Robins are the best of a very mediocre bunch.

    Staunton fav for job

Apparently he was on a scouting mission for Sunderland, from what i've been told on another thread. He won't be the next manager. What experience has he got to warrant him getting the job? It will be a disaster if he does and relegation will be a distinct possiblity.

New Manager Shortlist down to 9

Your right, they're no outstanding candidates, which is why i'm going to have to backtrack and say that Wise does look a good option. Out of all the candidates i think he's got enough spite to get the team moving in the right direction again. The players obviously can't work on their own...

New Manager Shortlist down to 9

Phew! Thanks for putting my mind at rest. A great player, but too inexperienced to be the next Cov manager.

    Mcsheffrey

I think that would work. Two experienced lads up there is what's needed. I think McGoldrick could inspire McSheffrey back to form. The Mc boys might just save the day! :D

    Joe Murphy

I think he's ok. The situation is so bad at the moment everything's magnifide 100%. The centre halves are hardly commanding in the area either. Both goals shouldn't have been conceded yesterday. Especially the second one. The defending was to blame, not the keeper. That's the problem in...
