Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

It is very 1984 in that respect. Maybe we should start a left wing nutjob conspiracy that it was created in a US lab and transported to China for release so he could use it to take attention off him during election year.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Complains daily about media using 'sources' and not revealing them. He not only doesn't reveal the source he doesn't even release the info. But he doesn't need to because the gurning idiots that support him will just take him at his word even though his word has repeatedly been shown to be...

    Highfield Road

With the value of hindsight it would've been much cheaper to renovate HR. But that wasn't really the point. Being in that location it massively limited other potential income streams and future expansion. In the end expansion wasn't needed and really the money is from TV now rather than bums on...

    Proud to work at HMRC

IR35 has been going on for the best part of 20 years, trying to enforce workers rights by saying if more than x% of your income is from a single source you're an employee, not a contractor. Also if the contract you signed prohibits you from working elsewhere in the same industry.

Feeling resigned...but not down and out!

Then they'd just turn up outside their home ground to feel 'part of it'

Feeling resigned...but not down and out!

But would it just be 22 players? Managers, coaches, kit, officials, assuming some techies to stream it etc. Probably well over 100 people there already. Not to mention the numpties who'd turn up outside.

Feeling resigned...but not down and out!

Although I agree with the sentiment on getting away from the news etc you did say you can only do so much, and most of that is in terms of common sense. So you have to ask "is it common sense to have groups of people in extremely close contact just for entertainment when there's a potentially...

Feeling resigned...but not down and out!

Provided you don't get idiots congregating near the stadium when it's being played. But that could be sorted with a warning "if fans turn up outside grounds the match will be postponed". But of course that could lead teams that don't want games to be played to do so to deliberately get them...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

The point was was it morally right. Not was it legal. Not was it sensible. Was it MORALLY RIGHT.

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

I said 70% of league fixtures. That means fixtures overall for the whole league. Takes out discrepancies in individual teams

Apart from you could just show the tweet where he lauded China's response and openness on the situation and case closed. China could destroy Trump if they so chose to. They're not because it suits them having a bona fide idiot in the White House

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

Thing is with act of God, no church/mosque/synangoue et could ever get insurance. As God controls everything, everything is an act of God. However if you're an atheist you can say there is no God, therefore it cannot be an act of God. All insurance companies could say they were aligned to a...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

I think you do need to reflect the standard of the teams you've already played in the outcome (and thus points likely to pick up from remaining fixtures) . I did do an extremely simplified version of this in a thread somewhere adjusting for league standings (both as is and on current PPG) and it...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

HA HA SISU winning a 'morally right' argument. What utter tosh. Council have been far from squeaky clean in this but their stance has hardened over time because they decided to fight fire with fire. Was it morally right to force people to give up their shareholdings for nothing? Was it...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

I'd love it to but it won't unless it sees reduced broadcast rights income in future. Whether that will happen or not is hard to say but if it did clubs would have no choice but to reduce costs and players to accept lower salaries.

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

"League fixtures must be completed within 30 days of the original schedule. Should league fixtures be unable to be finished by this time due to any unforeseen circumstances, including, but not restricted to, war, public health dangers or natural disasters, the league will be concluded as...

Other option is to sit on it for now but if you move to another job you could anonymously tip off the authorities.

    Detroit City FC

I really should like Detroit as it is the US equivalent of Coventry. But I just can't get any enthusiasm for the place. Never visited, so maybe if one day I did my opinion would change.

L1 & L2 Clubs to discuss wage cap?

If PL especially brought in a wage cap a lot of the foreign talent would prob choose to go elsewhere. That would lose some of the international market interest (which is PL main growth area) due to not having players from that nation playing here and longer term a lower standard. That would...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

They would claim there should be a catch all clause saying if the season cannot be finished for unforeseen circumstances this is what will happen. Not like there is no precedent as stuff got cancelled for WWII so guidelines should have been put in place then..
