    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

It may have already been mentioned but weekdays you've got all the students, lecturers, staff etc on site which is going to massively reduce for a weekend which the Cov fans would take the place of. Even events at the Arts Centre would likely be later in the evenings and at most would add...

    Championship salary cap next season?

Of course they could sell the high earners on the cheap or let them go for free. But isn't that also playing into the hands of the bigger clubs? Sharks circle and pick up good players for peanuts. Plus how would that affect the ability to raise finance and solvency? If you've got a player that...

    Wigan down, Forest blow it....

Terrible as a number for football though. Suggests we're going down.

    The official NFL Thread

Reckon it's a temporary name until the come up with a new name/logo etc. Gonna have to do the usual surveys/market research to find out what name the fans like most. Bit of genius marketing really because they can now get loads on two sets of merch (arguably three with stuff with the old name...

    Championship salary cap next season?

I've never been sure about whether transfer fees should go in the wage budget. One year you could sell a player for a fortune, up the wage bill and season after you've broken the rules. Unless you sell someone for big money and bring in some players on 1 year contracts hoping to get promoted...

    Birmingham to retire number 22

This would be like us retiring Maddison or Wilson's number.

    Birmingham to retire number 22

Personally I quite like the int cricket thing where your number is what number player you are to pull on the shirt. Number will always be yours regardless. Difficult of course if you're player 9,780 to play for the club to fit in on a shirt.

    Championship salary cap next season?

. My proposal was to split the money into fixed and variable income. Fixed being TV money, sponsorships etc, variable being gate receipts, prize money etc. Fixed income used for basic wage, variable being bonuses at the season end. Would work best in a more normal pay-grade situation rather...

    All time average attendances

I agree. The one thing I'd like about having these safe standing areas is that it'd be much easier to police IMO. If you're in the sitting area and you stand, you are either moved to the standing area (if spare capacity) or chucked out. Plus you can't complain if you're in the standing area and...

    All time average attendances

I agree with the netting off. Net off the areas at the back so there are more people close to the pitch rather than entire blocks. However due to H&S/stewarding I can see why that was probably preferred. If we want a new stadium to feel like home it has to be used for the big games too. If we...

But if you put in the standing I think there would be a lot of fans who would complain if you then just took it away again due to relegation and wanting to reduce the capacity. However if you mean having say 25% safe standing and reducing this to 10% so some still remained that would be fine.

    Championship salary cap next season?

Agree with most of that but the sacking of players could be a minefield. Could actually drive wages up due to the increased uncertainty and clubs possibly willing to offer it knowing they could get rid of them quickly. Plus if clubs want the right to sack players players will instantly call...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

This will be where the positioning on the site will be crucial ensuring there's space around it to expand as and when necessary. If we had an initial one tier stadium which could then have second tier modular expansions attached to you could pretty double the capacity reasonably quickly over time.

    Championship salary cap next season?

That's why I wanted the wages of players linked directly to that seasons income. So if you get relegated or fail to qualify for Europe and income drops 75% so does their wages automatically. But if you go up you get that benefit too. Keeps players on their toes.
