The fella was and is harshly punished, but that's based on people inserting themselves into an obviously volatile situation.
It wouldn't be me, and if it was 'one of mine' I'd let them sort it out. Wading in with a tribal mentality negates any real leverage for complaint against the police, and...
When you take the thick element of football fans and combine it with the overwhelming stupidity that festers on Twitter, this is what happens. This is why we shouldn't have nice things.

Blackpool 4-0 Coventry, 22 December 2007:
Christmas-related traffic leading to an M6 trip taking over four hours (usually shade two hours), only just getting in before kick-off and paying stupid parking prices.
Temporary...
So a bit of trouble that could have been avoided if people on either side had been a bit more tactful. Seems an odd one to go two pages, even with the NWA ramblings of a few.
'We missed out on the chance to be turned down by Carroll' seems more realistic. Lucky escape by Dzeko, we'd have beat the goalscoring out of him in no time.
As head of soccer he needed to see what training drills our head coach performs with both offense and defense before our clutch game with the Hull Tigers. I'm sure he'll have come away noticing we have too many turnovers and our FG% is not what it could be.
Thanks for completely missing my point there. At your job you had a management structure right? So does football. Andy Thorn talking about how terrific and unlucky they were in public doesn't mean they're getting high-fives and 'jolly good show lads' in the dressing room.
You can shout at...
Your job is not really comparable with that of a footballer, the circumstances are a world apart. If you think players deserve shouting at that's fine, but it doesn't need to be justified by the fact that you were good at whatever you did.
It seems there has to be at least one focus of attack for the morons. It's bad that it gets to a point where the player doesn't even get credit for doing well, more a 'well he should be doing that every game' instead. Hussey can't enjoy playing for us.
On the main body (black text) I'd add further mention of protesting outside where you mention the boycott, just to clarify that it's more than not going at all.
