Do you want to discuss boring politics?

So what if he's just a talk show host. He's very prominently in the public eye and a lot of people listen to him and believe what he says. He has more influence than most politicians. He has been tricked into saying it but then you've got to ask if something like this gets past him then how...

He is just reading a message out but he or his team should be on top of making sure stuff like this gets weeded out. Do you think someone like Starmer or Corbyn would get away with the excuse of "I was just reading a message out"?

I think we somehow need to incorporate dividends into corporation tax in some form. At the moment it's tax v dividends and if you base the tax around the dividends everyone is pulling in the same direction. If the shareholders are doing well so is the public purse.

It's probably more him nominating himself by just dominating meetings. Like us with the Trust. Half the time we're wondering what on earth's are these people doing being the spokespeople for us.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Exactly. Not wanting things to change is a definite position. Wanting to change things has endless permutations. So even if a large majority of the population want things to change chances are you'd still not get enough of a consensus on how to do it to overcome the few that want things staying...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I'm not a fan of giving one individual too much power, especially one who can claim they have a mandate from the people. As we already see in elections people will very easily fall for lies, promises that can't be kept or just the personality of the person. Promise one thing then do another and...

    La Palma Vocano

Depends on loads of variables - size of magma chamber, pressure inside it, how violently it's erupting. Although it's terrible that people are losing their homes an eruption like this is far more preferable to one massive eruption. Think of it likes a kettle. The steam coming out of the top is...

Transfer Rumour Where will Max Biamou end up?

No he didn't. Nor did I say he did. But your quote was: So you're suggesting that no-one can be a great servant if they have a contract and do what is required to fulfil it. Which all those three players you then go on to say are great servants also did. In which case no-one can be a 'great...

    Item Would you be happy?

As much as I'd love to see us be a big team going for trophies and having top names playing for us I'd have to say no. Apart from all the glory fans that would turn up it wouldn't feel right. Under SISU for a long time the club felt like it had no soul and it would be like that but magnified...

Transfer Rumour Where will Max Biamou end up?

Hutchison, Curtis and Oggy all had a contract and played through it when selected. They didn't just turn up and play for us for nothing.

Rehashing my cinema analogy it's like one person wanting to see an action movie, the other an art house film so you end up going to watch a rom-com instead. You've reached an agreement but both of you are sitting there thinking "I don't really want to watch this."

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If you remove Labour and put in Tory that's exactly the same. Possibly even more so. They support whoever the leader is until the see a chance to seize power then stick the knife in. No morals, no ethics, just a desire for power. Then everyone gets behind them until they see a chance and so...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I consider Lib Dem's centrists and people that vote for them could go either way. That they went into coalition with the Tories tells you they aren't left wing enough to consider themselves completely different ideologically. Doubt they'd ever do it again though, not that they're likely to get a...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Trouble with economic competence is you can't disprove that unless someone actually gives you the power to do it, and they won't give you the power because they think you're economically incompetent. Labour councils are given less support by the government and when they struggle this is viewed...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Thing is that the Tories are smart enough to know to rally together at elections and then fight amongst themselves when they have the power. Labour (and the left in general) fight amongst themselves before they get the power, so it's likes the two bald men fighting over a comb. One side wants...
