    Fridays outcome?

I'm not sure what your point is? It was mentioned earlier that ACL could compensate for the loss of the football club by simply staging more concerts, and I pointed out that even class A venues like Wembley and the Millenium Stadium stage only 2 or 3 concerts a year, because there simply aren't...

    Fridays outcome?

And I maintain that it is fantasy. Open air concerts don't happen in the winter for obvious reasons. The Millennium Stadium, which is vacant pretty much every day of the year and has a roof you can close, has still only attracted two music acts in 2013. Edit: I should add though that I think...

    Fridays outcome?

What concerts? Only about 3 or 4 music acts do summer stadium tours anyway. Wembley Stadium has 3 summer gigs this year, the Ricoh has two and the Millennium Stadium has two. There is scope for more indoor gigs in the hall, but there is nothing to stop them doing that now. I take the view...

Exactly, unless people really do think our accent is 'exceedingly rare' or that Shrewsbury really is a shit hole and they want to go home. Literal interpretations of football chants. Whatever next.

    Fridays outcome?

It is an odd position to have I must admit. I doubt many that support the ACL position would support eviction of the club should ACL lose in court. People who support ACL's actions take the view they are working ultimately in the best interests of the club by trying to prevent liquidation...

    I joined the Trust yesterday...

...not something I expected to do if I'm honest. I have come to the view though that all this bickering is achieving nothing, and the time is right for the fans to come together and try and form a strong and independent voice that acts in the interests of the club, the fans and the city. I...

    Walsall Away Easter Monday

Incredibly ill-informed bunch polluting that thread. Complete lack of understanding of the situation here. They talk about 'cheating' and liken us to Swindon. The difference is, we do pay our tax bills, we do pay suppliers etc., the issue relates to the rent which is the subject of a dispute...

    your beloved acl ...

Don't know about anyone else, but I've lost the will to keep arguing about all this. The two opposing camps seem so entrenched that there seems no prospect of anyone changing their position anytime soon. Put is this way, has anyone shifted their position based on what they have read on any of...

    McSheffrey

This. Never had an issue with people venting their frustration at full time. We all get frustrated, but abuse targeted at one player mid-game is not big or clever. Felt genuinely sorry for Sheff today. He is playing badly, that much is clear, and he probably needs a game or two on the bench...

Baker Feast & famine - all in the same game

Didn't hear any abuse of Baker today. The odd groan at a misplaced pass doesn't constitute booing does it? Now Sheff was booed...

Am I the only one who thought we played OK today? We created some decent openings and were never really threatened. It was scrappy and not pretty at times, but it was an OK performance for me.

    FFS, we won!

Close to drawing? Did they have a clear cut chance all game? Nothing like the Swindon game. Only one team ever looked like winning today.

Baker Feast & famine - all in the same game

14 goals from midfield and many assists. A trier too. Not much more to be said for me. He made some errors today, but was always involved and always wants the ball. Bailey can prance about all game hardly involved making the odd sideways pass and he seems to escape criticism completely.

Very ugly in block 15, thought it was going to kick off several times. Was very uncomfortable. I didn't slate Sheff once all game, but equally didn't join in with the song and for that I got abuse.

    Statement from fisher

This is a very good point. Perhaps the issue of means is indeed irrelevant at this stage.

Oh absolutely, we're all guessing, but I don't think it does any harm to try and get an understanding of what the court hearing is really about and what the likely outcome might be.

If Sisu back down and things carry on as the are....

I think this is still a goer. Funding is secured and outline planning permission granted. My understanding is that building should start in the autumn and the station will be operational a year later (they also have to build a new station at Bermuda Park and upgrade the line and platforms at...

    Statement from fisher

Perhaps, but I suspect it isn't. It was announced at a fans forum iirc, and was made as a general point rather than in relation to ACL and the rent deal. I'm not sure what they would have gained by making this up? They may be the masters of spin, but I'm inclined to believe this particular...

    Statement from fisher

Quite possibly, it is hard to know what to believe. As Spencer has said though, if all SISU have to do is demonstrate that they are able to pay should they be ordered to do so, then it is difficult to see how the court can rule we are insolvent? And seeing as this court hearing is not deciding...

    Statement from fisher

SISU have recently stated that a home average of 11K is our current break even point. If SISU can produce a set of management accounts showing a healthy enough balance sheet and no external creditors then it will ultimately come down to the issue of rent and how the judge views that. If SISU...
