    walsall away

Wolves tickets seen to be selling well already which is encouraging, and it appears we have down the side at Walsall again. Important we keep taking big numbers away to send out a message. Not sure they'll be much more than 800 at Stevenage though, but perhaps to be expected given the fact we...

I think you only need look at away games and the passion of the fans to realise this is still very much our club and not beyond saving by any stretch.

A lot has been said in the early games about the lack of expectation from the crowd and how that lack of pressure may have helped the younger players - and there was perhaps an element of truth in that. Today we saw the flip side of that - because when the team needed a lift, even just a hearty...

Fair enough. I'm not one of those who feels any animosity towards those that choose to protest in that way. I quite admire people who travel all that way to stand in all weathers that far from the action (which you can't see for the most part). Takes a lot of dedication does that.

You are bonkers. I like that I think.

I don't, I'm talking about the feeling before the game in the pub and the togetherness in the stands - it's the only time we feel like a proper club nowadays. A win is always welcome obviously!

Of course, if somebody abuses you it is human nature to have a go back. The difference here was that a few people chose to have a go at random people leaving the ground, people who had not said a word to them. This was the first time people on the hill have aimed abuse at people leaving the...

Indeed. It was odd today in a way. Previous games there has been a feeling that we are a big city football club that are going through the mill and that we just have to put up with this silliness for a few more weeks, while the people with the power to change things get their heads out of...

In truth, the atmosphere has been non-existant. It was OK(ish) for Preston, and there was a positive mood and a bit of noise against Colchester - but otherwise nothing and today was shocking. People who go and say otherwise are kidding themselves.

on the back of jo ,s comments is it time for new team at the ricoh

Realistically, a new club would probably have to start at a local non-league ground, or BP at a push. The alternative is that a wealthy backer would finance the club through those difficult years, but then we would be back to the club being subsidised by its owner, and surely we'd want to avoid...

I'm not sure anyone is saying that. Obviously the car incident would have wound them up, but to start yelling 'scab' at people as they then left is not big and clever, and to be fair, even regular hill protesters have said they were embarrassed. A sorry episode all round really.

I see what you are saying, and you'll never take everyone with you, but there certainly a lot of people like myself who would come on board with other forms of protest. I thought the march was excellent and sent out the right message, but I don't know how we can rival that. I'm not exactly...

I think the time has come for a mass protest that everyone can get behind - something like the march in the summer which brought everyone together. No idea what that could be though. As an aside, I saw a couple of people with red and green bar scarves today. I like that idea, although I know...

The rift is deepening I think. Before the game today I overheard a couple of people (two women) who were abused in the pub at PV last week because they mentioned they were season ticket holders. That ain't right. I'm always up for a drink, but if our beer-sozzled debate from the other night...

Nearly 1500 there yesterday I see, which is good. Good for them. I've been critical of the way that club has been run over the years, but they seem to be turning things around. If they can ever make it back to the top flight, then they will have to redevelop BP, and that will be good for the...

I will do that at some point for sure. Won't give up on City though, will just do all the away games.

Even if it was just handbags today, it doesn't matter, it was symbolic. The mere fact that there was a confrontation and one set of supporters were being openly abused by another underlines just how serious this has become. It is a travesty.

Fair question. I've never been fair weather, anyone who knows me would vouch for that. Just felt so deflated today, even before the game kicked off. What is the point? Sitting there every other week at what feels like a glorified pre-season game, and getting abused for it to. Having to...
