She has a really unusual look - I agree that she's beautiful but not in a conventional way.

    Record Store Day

Does anyone else do this? We have an independent record shop here in Winchester and I've picked up some great stuff over the years. Was queuing at 7:30am yesterday and managed to get 'A Full Circle' by Holgar Czukay (Can), Jah Wobble (PiL) and Jaki Liebezeit (Can) which was the only release I...

    Allotment/Veg patch

I did for a while but it wasn't going well so I planted in the garden. The problem is that the birds eat them all before I can harvest.

    Allotment/Veg patch

Too many courgettes to mention: using them up and giving them away but still have a huge pile. Also have a huge crop of chilli (which will freeze). The aubergines are starting to get big enough to pick - just taken the first with many more on the way. This butternut squash is 70cm long and...

Match Thread Sky Blues v Boro (double header)?

I heard from somewhere (but somewhere public, no inside information) that he reacted badly to being told that he'd struggle for games or that he could leave.

Was that Baka? He played really well. Still chasing at the end.

New Player Incoming - Leo Ostigard

No. The name Leo Ostigard translated literally means 'Lion guard from the West'*. Hence he'll be playing on the left of the back three. *probably.

Sky sports to stream every EFL game

It's normal for a virus to become less deadly as time passes. It's because the virus constantly evolves. Those that get a bad strain usually isolate themselves in bed and don't pass it on. Those that get a mild case continue to circulate and do pass it on - and so only a mild strain survives...

Sky sports to stream every EFL game

If I lived near Cov, I'd have a season ticket, irrespective of availability on TV. But I wouldn't be travelling for away games unless they were local. Too many other things to do. I recognise that we are all different and maybe some of you who attend home games would prefer TV. Fine. But my...

Yeah me too - it's a big financial commitment to make if it's not correct.

Sky sports to stream every EFL game

FWIW, if this is correct I hope it sticks after COVID - I think the EFL is missing a huge revenue stream by denying ppl to watch on TV. I doubt that live attendance would be affected much - it's a much better experience for those that live close and can attend easily.

Sky sports to stream every EFL game

I did read the article but I'm not a season ticket holder - I live miles from Cov. I interpreted the article as saying you could pay £10 per game if you don't have sports. The point I'm making is that I think you can just buy sports for £30 per month - so you get one game per month for free...

Sky sports to stream every EFL game

Sky Sports is an extra £30 per month - they will be making money. If I have to pay £10 on top that's £70 per month to watch all games, plus I have to agree to an 18 months contract. Surely that's too expensive? You'd effectively be paying £1,000 to watch one season, with no guarantee that you...

Sky sports to stream every EFL game

I've just been on chat with Sky - haven't had sports for years. The guy said if I subscribe to a Sky Sports package I will be able to watch all championship games. Nothing about paying an extra £10. I've taken a copy of the chat but is that others' understanding?

    Anarchy

I couldn't tell you if all attempts at anarchy plans, but in Spain each commune planned their own production. I doubt the Paris commune did much planning as they weren't around for long. There was an attempt at anarchy in the Ukraine at some point too, so I'll find a book on that. I don't...

    Anarchy

I saw that someone mentioned anarchy in the footy forum. As luck would have it, I've only just finished reading a book about Spanish anarchy in the 1930s. Just my understanding, but anarchy always refers to left wing politics. The right wing equivalent (small government and little...

    Gardening

Top tip as we approach autumn. Go for a walk in the park, after seeds have formed and pinch a few from the perennials. It's not harming anyone and you get to grow them as seeds in the spring. Perennials are expensive fully grown. Also, if you want plants you can get perennials dirt cheap...
