From the Millwall fans forum......
From someone who obviously left early, ‘You can lose at home but getting done 3-0 twice already is unacceptable’
Praise, ‘I was fucking fuming walking out of there tonight but putting our woes aside you have to tip your hat to Coventry and Lampard as much as...
...were not spectacular but showed the spirit that's in the team. Thomas-Asante was on his toes, Eccles strained to get the ball into the danger area, and Torp produced a lung-bursting run to pick up the pieces. Great to see.
I need a new name for my Fantasy League team (superseding Robins Reliant). Any suggestions reflecting my support for the Sky Blues? Must be capable of being used in reasonably polite company.
I've watched CCFC play in 9 different divisions, witnessed 5 promotions and 4 relegations. Mark Robins moving on is just football, and does not detract from the huge contribution he's made. Jimmy Hill moved on in 1967 and we still value his contribution.
I suspect that Doug had made his mind up...
No, I wasn't there, but we've just come from 2-0 down away to the league leaders without a number of key players. Hasn't anyone got a good word to say?
Not sure if there's been a thread on this before, but someone in Europe is doing a good scouting job - Wright, Van Ewijk, Sakamoto, Binks, Dovin, Torp, Rodrigues, Bassette. Long may it continue.
Quick off the mark
Coventry’s Ellis Simms, facing Leeds United, scored his tenth first-half goal in his past eight appearances in all competitions over the past six weeks, twice as many as any other league player in that period (Wrexham’s Paul Mullin is next with five).
A friend of mine who is coming across from Holland with family members for the Leeds game has inadvertently bought an under-18 ticket for his nephew who is already 18. He needs to know whether to do anything about it. Is there any form of age check on entry?
...have scored 24 goals between them this season. Exactly the same number that Gyokeres and Hamer had scored between them at this stage last season. Just saying.
10 times this season we've had a player score 2 goals in a game, with 6 different players contributing. Last season it was 3 times from 2 different players. Just one of those things?
What a season it's been. A quick stock take before the excitement of the play-offs.
We have 6 more points than last season (1 win and 3 draws), scored 2 less goals but importantly conceded 13 less. Interesting that those 6 extra points were earned in the last 4 games of the season (2 last...
Looking at the points total for the play-off contenders over the last 5 games, we're not the only ones struggling to pick up points
Middlesbrough 7
Millwall 5
Blackburn 4
Norwich 5
Coventry 6
Sunderland 6
West Brom 6
Watford 5
Only Preston 12 and Luton 11 have bucked the trend
All to play for!
'I love what Robins has done with that Cov team. No superstars, no egos - and they play good football to boot.'
'give Coventry a lot of credit. Best I have seen from a side against us at this level for a long time'
'supremely coached, well-drilled teams like Cov.'
Only 7 teams in the league have scored more goals than us. But only 7 teams have conceded more goals than us.
And yet, I have this perception of us as a team who struggle to score but are pretty tight at the back.
Is it only me?
