thought it was better at sixfields

Spot on - I'm with you entirely on all of this. I'd love for it all to come out and for us to be able to dig through the evidence from all sides, and I'd like the press to ask far more searching questions of everyone. Better still, I'd like to wake up back at Highfield Road and have nothing...

thought it was better at sixfields

The problem isn't just with the media though - it seems to suit SISU to obfuscate the issue too. It's obviously similarly ludicrous to insist that the council put a price on something they can't sell, but it doesn't seem to stop SISU doing it.

thought it was better at sixfields

Isn't that the truth of it. Of course, SISU could've had the 50% of ACL that the Higgs Trust holds, and at a set value too (removing at least one of their grumbles, this seemingly not knowing what to offer!). That's going to be an interesting court case...

thought it was better at sixfields

I think because the encumbered freehold is of very limited value with sitting tenants and long leases in place. In and of itself, the encumbered freehold doesn't really provide any access to income streams that I can see. Noggin's point about the long leasehold is true too, Cov CC can't offer...

thought it was better at sixfields

I thought the Lucas statement was about the inability to sell the unencumbered freehold, which it seems SISU had shifted their demand to. If the demand has moved again, to something different like long leasehold, why don't they discuss that with the Council instead of the SCG? And the 'council...

    You can't tell me...

I don't doubt that SISU's plan involves distressing ACL, it's really the only reason I can see for us not playing at the Ricoh now, but I don't think it's related to the formula as such because that died with CCFC Ltd. As I see it though, no one can force ACL to sell to SISU. If CCC and The...

    Protest inside Sixfields

Fair enough, appreciate the honesty. I think you at least did your bit - fair play to you for that too. :)

Put up six so far at sixfields

Good work Torchy. I know it's not quite storming the Bastille, but it still takes some guts - fair play to you. I can't quite understand why they'd be taken down, given that TF has said publicly that he'd like it all out in the open. Personal opinion: I think they're nervous about anything to...

So what happened then? Was this just a wind up, or is there more to it than that?

    Denzel ... gone

First Donnelly and now Denzel. I wonder if Pressley's training is so fierce that it's putting off some players? If so, by the way, I'd have no great problem with it. I want players who want to be here and be in the team, and are ready to work bloody hard to do so. It probably isn't the...

9 quid to watch Cov tomorrow

I think the mistake that you're making here is that they give a f*ck about the fans. It's not just the travel - look at how they treated the PSL holders. SISU really don't care - where they can get a bit of free PR, bogus stadium plans, slagging off CCC/ACL on the radio etc., they're happy...

    Team for tonights match

Until he's out there taking the nets down at the end of the game, I'll never really see him as a team player. ;)

    Protest inside Sixfields

I see your point, but I'd politely differ. Even if it's relatively low key, I still think it's good to show the owners and FL/FA at every opportunity that Sixfields isn't an acceptable solution, and that no matter how long passes we're never going to accept it.

    Team for tonights match

That looks like a half-decent team at this level. I'm sorry that we've lost Clarke, but at least the 'replacements' look like they've got some promise. (Inverted commas because I accept these aren't really our players, and I'm trying to steer clear of that argument!). I'm hoping against hope...

    Protest inside Sixfields

How could it hurt, Nick. Anything that keeps up the pressure on the owners and the FL/FA, and keeps this in the public eye, has to be a good thing. Doesn't it?

    Other Sports

Been to the Blaze a couple of times, although not in the last few years. Seriously impressed with the skating abilities of all of the players - there are some properly big units out there, and they all seem to have incredible pace and balance. How anyone could have a fight on ice skates is...

    What would happen if.....

As long as there's a chance of CCFC coming back to the Ricoh, I wouldn't want any other club getting the *permanent* use of that facility. To be clear I couldn't give a monkeys about Lester or Villa reserves or U21s or indded anyone else using it on occasion, as long as it isn't on a basis that...

    Match Off

If the Football League hadn't bottled it, and followed their rules instead of using 'discretion', there would have had to been a deal at the Ricoh.

    What happened to Haskell?

So the club never really owned the land then, just the option to buy back from HBG, presumably.

Weve signed this Canadian Guy from QPR

Absolutely mate, agreed. But inevitably the only 'big names' we're going to sign will be a bit like this won't they? Done well elsewhere (which is why we've heard of them), now on the slippery slope downhill (which is why we can afford them). :)
