    Who could/should you have supported?

As a Coventry kid I dabbled with the winning teams of the day like Leeds, Everton, Liverpool but had a season ticket from 68 in the West Stand and would only support Coventry against anyone. In 73 I was wearing a silk and satin Sky Blue scarf with the elephant badge waiting for the Liverpool...

    Police yesterday

I spoke with a policeman who said that they were expecting fans from the celtic rangers game as well at the station. Apparently they get the fast train to Carlisle and then the local service back to Dumfries and Galloway. I see that Port Vale had a couple of thousand less for the Luton game...

Match Thread Carlisle United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Dec

The first half was a non event for both sides, we stepped up in the second half and started to pass the ball to each other and then we became incisive and created space and then chances. Still a heavy police presence at Carlisle station.

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

You and others are right but surely it's about where we are now rather than how we got here? I am not going to waste energy hating Wasps and wishing they would be elsewhere as it is not going to happen. We need to look forward to how we can get the club back to its rightful place. Brighton went...

    Target Man or More Creativity?

In the games I have seen generally we have mixed the distribution from Burge to the showing players and kicking it long. At Port Vale everything went long once we had 4 strikers on except the ball which went out of play.

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

Get real, our club has gifted Wasps the stadium, the city and we can't fill 25% of the stadium.

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

As much as I would like to say fuck off and do one, Bargpole has summed it up perfectly.

but they have a stronger hold on the wallets of the city. I wish that wasn't so.

Match Thread Carlisle United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Dec

We certainly played with wing backs yesterday until their wingers forced a rethink. Some of the most inept crossing I have witnessed, it was like Burge was on the wing with so much slicing and over hitting.

Match Thread Carlisle United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Dec

I would like to see Robins rest Biamou, for his sake as much as the team. I thought the set up yesterday was correct, just failed because the wing backs couldn't deliver crosses and the center forward couldn't hold the ball up. We should go for it and stamp ourselves upon Carlisle and go for...

Having lived in Russia and seen at first hand the way the administration works people don't challenge anything because they know the state will crush them. There are demos most weekends in Moscow but it is so well policed and monitored that it generally becomes a muted protest.

cant agree that Vale were just as bad. They deserved their win and played to their strengths. If one of their target men had played for us rather than Biamou we would have won in my opinion. We offered little because absolutely nothing stuck.

One of my favourite festive games

What a goal that was! And of course Ernie's free kick v champions Everton in 70.
