    Who’s Next?

You don’t give new 2 yr contracts for team cohesion. I think Robins is a fan of him as a player and as a guy. I agree that Robins thinks he’s a good team guy, but I think the contract was because he still rates him.

    Who’s Next?

Yes Godden’s race has run. If we really turned down £750k for in the summer it was madness.

Man United now linked with Vik this morning …. If he avoids injuries it looks inevitable he will be moving to a bigger club and for big money ….. more money for City.

You see of course partially correct. full time job and pro footballer are never actually the same thing nudged by most other standards. All footballers are rewarded for what they do on the pitch not how well they recover off it.

I know Oggy is a legend but his comments on strikers show why very few goalkeepers make good managers…. we obviously had his comments on Vik when we signed which was broadly I’d have kept Biamou, offers more than Vik to the team. yesterday we had … I’d choose Godden over Simms despite Godden...

I really want COH to sign a new deal but the fact he keeps deflecting when asked the question isn’t encouraging ….. he’s off on a free before don’t forget

We don’t need to be hypothetical though because he has recovered. he could therefore sign a 1 yr deal extension ensuring we get some value for him but also ensuring he gets a good move too. that’s not nonsense that’s an option that is open to him and his agent.

    Recruitment has been shocking

@Saddlebrains has suggested we what a wide attacking player. That makes total sense to me. Tats aside we are trying to play non wide players in wide roles…. Wright is a forward, Palmer a central midfielder. They can both do a job wide but it is not their natural position. An injury to Tats and...

Can we please stop using this ill informed rationale. the point being made is that we assume Coventry City continued to pay COH in full while he was injured. Therefore some loyalty back would be good. No employer is legally obligated to pay any employee on long term sick in full. In COH”s...

This is the crux of the clubs dilemma What fee in January is the minimum we need to make the decision to let him go the right one ? In reality we are chasing the 6th play off spot. At a push 5th or 6th spot. The others have gone already. It’s easy to say turn down the money and focus on the...

I believe the club tried to resign him and Hamer strung the club along until a suitable offer came in for him. The fee was reported by many different media outlets and I have no reason to believe that those media outlets are less accurate than a poster on SBT.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread - Tuesday 26th Dec

Welcome to any new fans or non regular attendees. Despite what people may infer most fans didn’t start off season ticket holders …. ….. clubs only grow when irregular fans become regular fans and regular fans become season ticket holders … I've had a season ticket for 30 years plus but I...

    Kasey Palmer

I think he’s more versatile than that. Regis was a forward …. Palmer can play as a 10 or as part of 2 attacking midfielders …. His defensive play is too poor for him to be an 8 or further back.
