I don’t disagree but whether we like it or not Celtic and Rangers are global football clubs. They have supporters clubs in every continent. This will appeal to some players who will be attracted by the size and history of the clubs.

I’m not sure this is correct. for some players the opportunity to play in front of 40,000 fans at home every other week, play in the Champions league, win titles etc will be more appealing that competing for the Championship play offs. The Championship is a better league, the wage structure...

I don’t believe that is what happened

If we are all honest COH hasn’t yet hit his pre injury form heights. He’s certainly been effective for us, but he’s not back to his old self yet. That said I am impressed with his goals and assists stats since his return but his general play isn’t quite up to his previous levels.

This is of course true. The issue is of course trying to compete in a league where almost all clubs operate at a huge loss.

We enquired about him in the last week of the last window. This has been confirmed by Swift. West Brom were happy to trade but his wages killed the discussion. Swift needed a pay off to move and West Brom are skint.

Brightons track record is first class. He’s still very young. He’s mainly featured for us when we were at the worst part of our transition. He may look better now but there are others in front of him.
