    Player Ratings v Luton

That was painful. My Mrs is football mad. Really clued up. She’s a Luton fan. The entire team gets 1. I won’t. Not in the mood now.

    Wilson the culprit today. Woeful.

Coventry is one of the biggest cities in the country (between 9th & 20th depending on how you measure). Of the larger cities, pretty much all of them have more than one football club. We also have a huge catchment area of dormitory towns where the nearest football league team is CCFC...

It is unrealistic but... Own the Ricoh (at least half of it at least) or Build a new stadium at Warwick Uni?

I think a lot of people go to a football match for the experience and atmosphere rather than the “perfect views”; after all, if one wants perfect views they can simply get iFollow on a big screen. I just think the Ricoh is a product of 25 year old design - things have changed. We have a...

True. I just like the idea of 5000 new students each year who may just become CCFC fans (give them a free season ticket in year 1, 50% off in year 2 or 3).

Uni The offshoots of having sports science students, analysis, physio training etc formed around the team - campus bars the list goes on. The Ricoh - awful.

    Sheaf

Everyone has opinions on different players and everyone is entitled to them. Sheaf, in my opinion has some talent and in the right set up with the right players around him that suit him would do well. However, on balance, I’ve seen him lose the ball more often than is reasonable through lack...

    Sheaf

I just didn’t feel: “great, Ben Sheaf is coming on for Hamer - that’ll give the team a lift” Did anyone, honestly?

    Wilson/Marosi

Marosi pre injury was good enough. I rambled on previously that he needs a stint out on loan to get his confidence back (he won’t want to stick his face in front of a boot / ball like he used to do and that’s perfectly understandable). I At the moment he’s not quite there and a top level...

    Player Ratings

Wilson 5 Caught COVID the other week. Couldn’t catch FA this week. Some poor distribution that put us under undue pressure and undermined confidence. DaCosta 5 Drifted infield far too often on defensive duty. Some strange pass selections. Dabo he ain’t. Rose 5 Had a torrid time. I don’t...

    Ratings v Cardiff

I like Max but today I saw a distinct lack of closing down the opposition keeper and back line. The 5 sub rule should be taken advantage of and used as tactic. I’m not being controversial when I say that sprinting at the keeper to try to win every backpass will give the keeper less time...

    Kasta gone to Hearts

Sometimes loans work out well. I remember Adebola being totally written off, going on loan, coming back and then being almost useful. Hope Kasta goes and get some games and comes back useful.

As a boring aside, I think the “undisclosed” figures balance each other out. Ins (estimates) Cranie 400k Deegan 80k Mcpake 120k Outs Tabb 500k Grey 200k What has changed over the years is the signing on fees. Out of contract players in demand now often want a signing fee which can be as...

    Player ratings

Wilson 7 - did ok, good distribution, came out well. Clean sheet. Dabo 7 - he did well but it seems that they’d done their homework on him and kept on him. I’ve watched the injury - foul back - looked a bit cynical from their man. Ligament injury. FFS. Need him in the team. Ostigard 7 -...

    Wilson/Marosi

Sorry, didn’t know we couldn’t. Had in the back of my mind we could loan him out - not up to date with COVID / team mixing / loan windows / emergency loans. If as you say he can’t then he can’t. You must be right.

    Wilson/Marosi

No, I’d hate for Robins to bring Marosi back in without seeing if he’s ready. Let’s say he bottles one and it costs us... he confidence would be shot, plus Robins might get criticism. Marco needs a few competitive games where there’s less risk to us as a club and in the best interest of our...
