There are not many examples of players converting to great strikers midway through their career…. There are some but they tend to be wide players who were strikers in their youth, pushed out wide when they broke into the first team but moved back to the centre as their physique developed.

Bassette, BTA, Wright, MVE and Raphael are all very quick by championship standards….. the issue is 3 of them are central forwards that we try to play in wide positions, one is defender and the only one who is true wide attacking player has other deficiencies to their game which means they don’t...
