I've heard he's from Wyken, around there. If the Devonshire Arms is still around (not sure from this side of the globe), but if he walks in there anytime soon, he'll be treated like a God.
Its still there and just been done up actually.

Loved how saka, emc and Wright somehow got there.

No idea how they appeared. Was getting crushed.

So do you only get a booked in the FA Cup when you run on the pitch to celebrate a goal when you've been substituted. 🤔

I think it was said when Palmer was booked, that the rules are that it’s not an automatic booking; that it’s at the refs discretion. Unlike say, a player taking his shirt of to celebrate…which I think is a ridiculous rule btw.

It was a ridiculous petty annoying racist booking

Fair play to him, he did something nobody else seemed interested in doing and hit one first time instead of taking ten touches to sort it first. How many times tonight did we have a chance to have a first time shot that nobody had the courage to take on.

This is exactly it btw.

Mason-Clarke, Sakamoto and MVE would have brought it down.

He's scored nearly 60 Championship goals and many more at other levels. Give him a chance in those scrappy games and he'll get another one or two. Loads of his goals in the past have been from the edge of the box or in difficult positions with either foot.

That goal aside his signing seems to have been a complete waste of salary. I thought we could have done with a player like him last night with a little bit of craft to get in the pockets.
The Portsmouth goal will mean his signing will always be justified in the minds of the fans, and supposedly he’s been a positive influence in the dressing room. But he’s played less than 90 minutes total since signing and was never going to be fit enough to be anything more than a dart throw.

Proven goal scorer in the championship. Can play on the left or midfield and what better occasion than the playoff semi for him to show what hes got for the club he supports and yet Lampard still refuses to play him. Instead we keep Wright on for 90 min who has done nothing for two months and bring EMC who isnt 100% fit

Agree in some ways and I'd have brought him on, but in terms of salary, without that goal we don't make the play offs and that must be worth a million at least.

He's looked handy every time he's come on. Lampards use of subs is pretty poor, nearly always like for like and you can predict most of them before the games even kicked off.

What's the point of having depth and variety if you only ever make the same subs.

His first appearance aside, I completely disagree.

I think he's looked tidy in the other sub appearances.

I just think you've got a lad there who's scored and assisted at this level for years. He's experienced and probably has a bit more passion than others.

If that Allen chance falls to him yesterday, based on the past decade, he'd do better.
