Look, I’m seriously bored of this now. He was told in the news by MR in Feb that he was “playing his way to a new contract” 13 weeks later the season ends and he’s not given one. Perhaps he presumed he was getting one, perhaps he was strung along to get the best out of him, perhaps we didn’t...

He has a different opinion. Must be a clown. Track him down.

Ok. Why is he without a club? I don’t know. Perhaps he left it late and had expected a new contract and his agent hadn’t got a back up. There’s a post Covid situation where clubs aren’t splashing wages out on a whim as well. What might be good for us (experience of our style) isn’t...

Not only does he need to work on his retention, but I feel he tends to slow the game down too much, he needs to carry the ball quicker and generally ping it about quicker, I do rate him though, but he does frustrate at times. You’re not allowed to say that. The stats show different - I’ve...

I agree. We now have hindsight. At the time of comment, we had no hindsight and very little striker cover. Drafting a striker in who knew how we play and cared seemed like a good idea at the time. He’s gone. We move on. We can be wise after the event and stupid on reflection.

I’m not that defensive; I’ve had much more inane debate. I just like watching the folks on here frothing and chomping when someone has a different view. It amuses me.

Ok. As I’ve said since, Max has gone and would be well short of match fitness. At the time I suggested that letting Max go was odd, Walker was injured, Godden injured, Jones unfit, Bright awol. So. That was the thought back then - we are short of fit attackers and there’s one we’ve just let...

I think the slick passing of late is: get, give and go to an oncoming runner. That works with the WB’s and Allen / O’Hare down the flanks and is low and direct to the middle for Wag / Vik to give and go through the middle. With Kelly the ball needs to go short to the attacking Wing Backs and...

Did very well against Reading. My opinion I’ve just checked the ratings from other posters, the theme being he did well, a bit shaky in defence, gave the ball away (these are other peoples opinions). But on the whole did very well. However, since you’ve pointed out that my opinion is wrong...

Yep, that’s me. And I still think signing a striker on our doorstep that Man City and others are looking at (so they say) is worth looking at. And I still think Max had something to offer since we are lightweight up top without Viktor. Last night was an example - Walker isn’t a powerhouse and...

Alright. He doesn’t give the ball away and doesn’t dither. My mistake. You win.

If you read up I’ve suggested putting Kelly in front of the back line and Sheaf further up.

Think I’ve been pretty consistent on this today. He’s prone to giving the ball away and that is a particular liability if he’s sitting in front of the back line. There are posters trying to “prove” that he doesn’t by referring to passing stats and comparing to Hamer which is a nonsense. It’s a...

If Kelly is blowing out of his ring after 60 then swap him out - assess how we are (if we are 3-0 then go defensive, 2-0 down go all out attack, obviously) If Gus was available it might not be the best idea but having Kelly in adds some grit. If your thought is Sheaf in for Gus then that’s...

If Gus is out then Kelly should be in.

Maybe. Some stats are useful: metres ran, times offside, crosses completed, times fouled. Some are not so straight forward unless really drilled down. “Passes completed” would be unfair on someone who tries to drill through balls rather than someone who passes it around the back line. Someone...

Look all you like. You might find whatever suits you. It won’t change my opinion: Sheaf seems to dither and get caught out too often. I watch matches to see that, not mess around with daft stats.

Don’t hate Sheaf. He gives the ball away by dithering. He needs to sort that or it costs the team It’s pretty straightforward. There are those who don’t see that. I think they’re a bit clouded by stats that are irrelevant. I’ll stick to my guns - not going to be browbeaten that Sheaf doesn’t...
