    Now we're getting somewhere...

Why exactly wouldn't we be in the football league?

    Now we're getting somewhere...

Could you explain please why Coventry City needs to own a stadium when so many other successful clubs don't? Also, you do realise any new ground will be built on the cheap and therefore will make the Ricoh look like James Brown?

    Lol

The fact their average was kept up by playing big teams is slightly irrelevant isn't it? They still paid to enter the ground. Whilst so many on here are being very disrespectful to a decent football club, just look at this stat: Number of people willing to watch CCFC: 2174 Number of people...

    Now we're getting somewhere...

I do feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall sometimes with some posters on here. IF ITS NOT IN COVENTRY 90% OF US AIN'T INTERESTED. My support for the club is based on loyalty to 130 years of Coventry history which is now been destroyed. The fact the team is playing well...

    Now we're getting somewhere...

First of all, even if we wanted to we couldn't all 'come along' as the ground isn't big enough. Secondly, best football for 20 years? As nice as it is to see us winning for once, are you really suggesting that this team is better than the one that beat Man Utd 3-2 on boxing day 1997? The one...

As myths go that's up there with "Coventry City faced last day escapes every year in the top flight". In the Premier League era Wimbledon averaged between 7k and 18k.

    FA Cup 1st round draw

Be a good game to have plenty of banners out against the authorities. Both clubs let down by the guardians of the game.

    Manager of the month

Fingers crossed no Championship manager gets the sack any time soon.

    The Boo boys

I must point out though I've only ever booed once in my life. That was after the pathetic display at Charlton on the last day of the season 2008. I don't think there is a person on earth who would have defended that performance.

    The Boo boys

Professional experienced players wouldn't be affected by it anyway. The sort of vile comments players make to each other on the pitch teaches the players to block out such things. Younger players might be slightly susceptible to it but they soon learn. I think we're doing players an injustice...

    Serious question about ACL, CCC

Wow that building company was really generous letting us play in their ground for free don't you think?

That becomes even more dramatic when looked at in relation to the whole league and conference

    Serious question about ACL, CCC

Surely the amount of giveaways was just as high at Highfield Road, and currently at sixfields? Whatever way you look at it, attendance's went up by 5k, whilst rent only went up by 300k.

    Serious question about ACL, CCC

I think the Ricoh is better than most the new builds. I hate the 4 identical stands look like at Leicester. At least the Ricoh has 1 individual looking stand.

We didn't pay any in the last season ;)

    Serious question about ACL, CCC

Depends which way you look at it. In the first season the Ricoh generated an extra 5k fans per game. That equates to about £1.7m. Rent at the Ricoh was only £300k higher than at HR, and let's say f&b's were about £0.5 million. That means the club (even with a high rent) were nearly...
