    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Pre Season results do not always give an indication of how we will do. What really worries me is the Covid situation in the camp. Are the loans that we were told would be here now not currently being allowed because we have Covid present? Sure they will happen eventually but we are going to...

    Match Thread Cheltenham Town (A)

Always thought Pask looks good when he comes on for last 20 mins. Not so great when he starts. Football is now a squad game and he is worth keeping for now. If he can up his game for 90 mins, he will be good for us, if not back to league 1.

    Bright

Bright most talented player in the squad? Probably. His season could be anything, our best player or Kastaneer the return (this time it's serious). Fingers and everything else crossed he can get his shit together. Last time as purely an entertainer he was worth the entrance fee. Hope he can be...

Guilty. I don't ever remember him bigging up Cambridge, but fair play to him. Hope he does well for them.

    Attendances Next Season

Stoke sure, meant their recent Prem tenure. Coventry has been punching below its weight in attendances for years. We have an almost identical ABC profile as Leicester but when we were on a par with them, they still got more fans in. Obviously comparing before their recent successes.

    So...

The Sheaf deal was a new move I think, as in loan now and buy with next years money, thus not breaking FFP rules. Reckon we might do this again if we can find the right player.

    Attendances Next Season

Think the population of the city of Nottingham is smaller than the city of Coventry. The wider county is twice that of Coventry but if you add in Nuneaton, Kenilworth, Rugby, Bedworth, Leamington, Warwick etc I would imagine they are similar or we are bigger. However we have only one club, they...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Yeah, I agree with you where we are at the moment defense wise and it is concerning. Appears to be really difficult to attract quality players to improve what we have. We do seem to be at a big disadvantage with our monetary position. I'm at the wait and see stage and did not interpret your...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

This Delta variant spreads like crazy. I know loads of people who have had whilst being really sensible about following the original rules. Hope O'Hare is not being headhunted.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

It is weaker, apart from Moore being an upgrade on Marosi (hopefully). Osti and McCallum have left the building and although both of them took time to find their feet in the Championship, they both finished strongly and looked good. They will both get better next year you would assume. The two...

    So far....

Spot on. Assume Moore is an upgrade. Defence and forwards you nailed it. James an enormous loss, but only if he keeps his fitness at Bristol. Walsh (if we were in for him) will be interesting to see how he does at Swansea. Bright if he comes will I think be awesome or a clown possibly at the...

    The big(ish) homecoming

Remember the atmosphere for the Blackburn FA cup match was awesome from the start even though there were far fewer fans in the stadium. When Chelsea came the atmosphere was rubbish even before Drogba scored.

    Promoted Teams

I am hoping they will all struggle and Derby are deducted points. I was shocked how long we took to adapt last season, as I thought we would be fine. Losing a lot of our main players to injury did not help. Hoping Dabo, Rose, Godden, Walker and Jones will shake off last seasons injury problems...

    Promoted Teams

I don't know anything about the promoted teams or their squads. Bookies seem to think Hull will be fine. Peterborough and Blackpool seem to have bought a lot of players, but are they any good at this level? History says promoted teams recently usually struggle. Any opinions if we should be...

    Current best 11

Footie is a squad sport now especially if the more substitute rule remains. Everyone has their favourite 11 players but selection will change game to game depending on the opposition and current fitness. There will be some players MR will always want in the team if fit like O'Hare and dare I...

Jodi Jones - Loan out, U23s or 1st Squad

Gut feeling will be pushed to go straight into first team. Lots of players never make it back after injuries but look at James as an example if he keeps fit. After so long out, there are often niggling injuries at first and I expect Jones to have a few. Even though playing in League 2, I thought...

    Gykores

Argos deal as MR alluded to I suspect. Good signing if works out. Thought Godden wont be fit for start as still resting that bothersome foot which means he is not up to speed fitness wise. A lot of the players have credited Vivash with improving their game, even McFaz at his age. Think there is...

Transfer Rumour Incoming - Moore confirmed

I wonder if our goalie coach was with him at Cardiff or was that too long ago? MR does tend to upgrade players and I hope he is better than Marosi, as I would be surprised if he is cheaper. Big bugger which always helps.
