    Dembele

Thought he was class, and a fully fit Dembele would be good in our team. Peterborough always want silly money for their players and sometimes get it.

    Being realistic

I think this team has spirit, a strong mentality and good ability. These together can take a team a long way in football. If we can keep the team together, avoid too many injuries and suspensions to key players the sky is the limit. By that, I mean top six. I don't think this team with the...

    Waghorn

Think MR will rotate the strikers except Gyo to keep them fresh. Waghorn no2 choice at present. Fitness and form will dictate. Good recruitment again from the team.

    Ostigard

His big thing we miss is from corners in the opposition half. Surely cant miss as many sitters this season. Will be a class player once he fully develops. I have a sneaking suspicion we will see him in a sky blue shirt again, hopefully for Coventry.

Match Thread Peterborough (H) Fri 24th Sept 7.45 ko

No easy matches in the Championship. We shocked a few clubs who underestimated us last season. That said, we should win unless the luck is really against us and we have some dreadful ref decisions like Tranmere in L1 which happens from time to time. If Rose plays for JCS, needs to be on the top...

Assuming we're not promoted or relegated, who do we want to go down?

The three teams that came up from L1 should be there abouts unless Blackpool do something special. Still cant understand why Hull had better odds than us to stay up at the start of the season. Derby are in peril especially if they get injuries. Think Reading even with a points deduction should...

    Oh Captain My Captain

Think Robins said something along the lines that no matter how old a player is, we are still going to improve him. McFaz also acknowledged he could get better. Brilliant attitudes all round. No standing still at the City.

    Shipley in the pecking order

Like Shippers, local lad, always gives his all. Loved how when he was out of the team in League 1 he was always supporting the players with the shirt. Got a sweet left shooting foot and has scored some good goals for us. I think he may have played the most games in the current squad for MR. His...

Match Thread Millwall (A) Match Thread

I like Maa, he will only get better but MOM no way. Most of Milwall's attacks came down that side. Think when he is a bit more experienced he will be awesome and a Prem player but is learning his trade with us.

Thought we should have won today but our final ball let us down. Their goal was a lucky deflection as Moore looked to have it covered. We got very lucky with the offside which would definately been offside before the rule change. I would have been unhappy if it had been ruled out against us with...

Why is our passing so poor in the final third?

I appreciate that the most difficult passes to execute are in the final third but we seem to murder teams in midfield only for our final pass to let us down. I have lost count this year in the number of games we have got into the oppositions area or edge of the area only to make a rubbish pass...

    A Cardiff fans view

I think if our final pass had been just a little better we would have been out of sight. There were three or four times where we did not pick out a man or the pass was intercepted. Cardiff should be careful what they wish for in the short term...look at Ipswich who have underperformed for a...

    Dabo's suspension

Dabo was guilty of being wound up by Collins who he had a confrontation with earlier and then being fouled off the ball by Collins. Has got exactly what he deserved with a seriously stupid challenge. We will miss Dabo as Kane looks as if he is still getting up to speed. Kane looks old skool...

Worry that they appear to have a bit of pace up front which we can at times struggle against. No daft penalties please. Hope their 12 new signings haven't gelled yet. Always a tough game against a Warnock side. Need a win to keep the momentum going but a draw would not be a disaster.

International Break - benefit to us?

Am I right in thinking we are historically poor after a break or its just one of those statistics that you think is the case and does not add up?

    Song creation thread

Haven't read every one so apologies if this is a repeat. Old skool adaptation from Ernie Hunt song I think. He's here, he's there, he's every fucking where Calum O'Hare. Calum O'Hare etc. Appropriate I think in view of his playing style and simple.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Maa is a young lad, had a bang on his wrist and was tiring. JCS had not played 90 mins for a while and was blowing a bit. Fresh legs was the right decision. Got away with it a bit, but that is why a squad is a big deal in the Championship.

    Liam Kelly

Kelly is my man and unless Covid and the injury has caused any long-term problems I expect him to be a first choice midfielder once he has eased his way back in. Either way it is great Hamer, Sheaf and Allen will have to play at the top of their game with a fit Kelly waiting in the wings.
