Not so sure, Mucca. You smash it, it can go anywhere.

Having watched the highlights three times now, I think saying Collins "smashed it" is pushing it just a very small tad. 😂

    New number one needed

Tis shocking. That's as wishy washy as you can get. Think he was just trying nick the ball off the player's foot, but that is still very poor

    Bradley collins

I am trying to find the comment, but can't right now. It was on the BBC live match reporting thread. He said it was weak goalkeeping I believe and he should have put more effort into getting the ball and clearing it Wish I could find it, because I don't wish to misquote He was definitely...

We do need someone more commanding and forever shouting to defenders and organising the defence. I agree, although maybe not top priority, it is a priority.

Oggy was very critical of Collins for the 3rd goal. Put a lot of blame on his shoulders and he was a top goalkeeper for sure in his day wasn't he. Mainly Thomas, but Collins was definitely culpable too there.

Not talking about the goal itself. I was focusing on posters criticising him last night because he got up and then went back down again when the two players clashed. It came across as accusing him of all being a bit fake and it being pathetic. I just don't see that from that highlights reel...

Yep, it does. Having a commanding keeper behind you though can make all the difference.

We need a better keeper. Doesn't matter how many keepers you have if they are not good enough. I think a new keeper should be one of the priorities.

Yup. We have been really close this season and that's after an awful start and a number of new players taking an age to get going.

How many have been down to Collins? Quite a few I think. A good keeper can make all the difference in the world. As a defence, if you have a top keeper between the sticks behind you, it can create such a feeling of confidence. I saw the stats on Everton's defence. Right up there with the best...

Video Coventry City v Hull City highlights

Watching those highlights I really don't get the criticism of Thomas for that second goal. Happens all the time and has happened throughout the history of competitive sport. You get a head or face injury and immediately your body reacts to that as you feel it, then you try to continue, only...

I think that just sums everything up in a nutshell. I think next season we will be absolutely fine and ready to make a real challenge of the top 3. Look how Simms started off and Wright's poor passage of form, before coming good. First season stepping up from L1 to Championship for Thomas and...

Defensive errors of late have been very prominent haven't they. Isn't that about 4 goals Collins has been responsible for in as many games? Thomas, Kitching and Lati have all made crucial errors.

    Player Ratings

It's not weird if he's a utility player, surely? He can slot in (not saying he excels in any of them) in a number of positions. Makes sense doesn't it? Same reason Eccles is sometimes moved to right back, even if he had a poor game the previous one in midfield.

We were not quite the same side after his injury either, because we had no replacement.

Is that the full stat? I have seen their benches and they have had much better players to bring on as subs than we have. Have you included substitutions etc? How many subs? And when? And I get your point, but in many games our bench has looked very weak hasn't it.

Yes and Robins has been consistently saying the players have been suffering from fatigue. The squad isn't big enough.
