Context is everything isn’t it. I’ve felt rough the last couple of days (just a heavy cold) but as I work from home the majority of the time I’m sound. Was due at an event later today but won’t be going.
Flip that to those who don’t have the option to WFH and are on stat sick pay and I can see...
I know of a situation where it’s happened before, albeit there is huge risk on the part of the solicitor. In effect, you’re renting the home you currently live in from your buyer for the day.
It’s a huge long shot, and going to massively depend on where you are in the chain, but is there any way to stay under licence for a day if you get chance to complete today?
Another possibility is Max Bird. If I’m honest I’ve never seen him play but out of contract at the end of the season.
Bird, Sheaf, Eccles, Styles would be a great starting point for midfield depth.
Change it to what? You’re just changing the point of reference.
When has this particular rule changed? As far as I’m aware, it’s been the same for at least the last 30 years, probably longer.
Hadn’t seen this and just posted the same on another thread. Ticks all the boxes from a positional perspective. Hard working, technically decent. Can see this happening.
Being hyper-critical, he’s also right sided. Would prefer to see a left sided CM but agree that he’s a good player.
Edit: you know who is left sided though? Callum Styles. Think he’d be a genuinely perfect fit for this new role.
One other thing: that chance he had just after half time that he blazed over the bar. That wasn’t an easy chance. Ball was bouncing into him. If it was along the ground I’d have expected more but it would have been an outstanding finish if he pulled it off given the pass.
