Slightly separate note: why is the gate not opened from the south-side car park (don’t know A or B) directly onto the A444? Surely that solves 75% of the issue?
On the above, why the determination to get everyone out as quickly as possible? Why close the bars after half time? I remember Brighton away a few years back we saw the train queues and just stopped in the stadium for another drink after.
Had a terrorist attack recently. Phoned the bomb squad. Ran out from behind my desk and punched the biggest one in the face. Disarmed him and turned his spud gun on the others. They fled into the waiting arms of police officers outside. Bomb squad arrived and disarmed the IED in the backpack...
It’s an immaculate finish but the key part of the move is really Chaplin flinging it from right touchline to left. This was a symptom of our decision to go narrow and it baffles me that you’d allow Leif Davis essentially free roam of his wing. A ridiculously easy ‘out ball’.
On the football side of things for a moment: is the 325 formation worth persisting with when Man City don’t have the ideal players for it? They’ve been suspect defensively for weeks and I don’t think the system helps.
Agree with this, utterly forgettable 30 minutes but once we introduced some width he looked a lot better. Still not the same as he was, granted, but a better display.
And yes, you can have the 4231 in the second half 😂
V odd. This DA Capital firm don’t seem to particularly exist - there’s a website but the Company is dormant and has been since inception. Robert Tidmarsh, rather impressively, managed to go from a customer service representative at Thomas Cook to brokering million-pound football investment...
As said on another thread, I’d like to see our 5 midfield options as Sheaf, Bird (Derby), Eccles, Styles (Barnsley) and a 10. Gives us the option to play 2 sitting with a 10 (Sheaf, Bird, 10) or a flat 3 with 2 shuttlers (Sheaf, Styles, Eccles).
On this, the big bastard concrete bollards designed to stop cars driving round the stadium on matchdays. Great until the crowd leads you into one, then a battle to get round.
See the understaffed comment.
Edit: I think one of the key challenges in that whole mindset is people feel they need to get the work done, even if it means working late. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll do it occasionally. But it leads those in senior roles to believe the head count is correct when in...
Remember when I got promoted years ago and our hours were 9-5. After a week of leaving at 5 my boss said I couldn’t leave on time as I was now a higher grade. Just responded that I’d done all my work and carried on leaving at 5.
People who work longer than they should are not efficient enough...
