    Cov ring road

I agree it's roads like Holyhead Road/Allesley Old road/Radford Road that cause the problem because the amount of traffic coming off the ringroad is too much for those roads to handle, especially when they have traffic lights which stop traffic for 30 seconds at a time or whatever. I don't...

    Cov ring road

There was the blame about 20 years ago to level between J1-3 and of all the plans that have failed to materialise that is the one I wish had happened most. I think once you start changing it people will realise you can still have an effective city centre bypass without the need for huge flyovers...

    Cov ring road

If the cars backing up is due to weight of traffic, then that is down to the design. It can't handle the weight of traffic therefore it is not capable of doing it's job at peak times. I think much of that is because there isn't an outer bypass on the west side of coventry like the A46 on the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

So that's what the Tories did for the past 14 years then. Sure, they had to take decisions. But those decisions are choices - they could continue with the dogma of the past 14 years of failure or they could try something different that involved investing in people and society rather than taking...

    Cov ring road

If three different people who drive professionally for a living and have taken extra driving tests to drive large vehicles can't navigate their way back onto the ringroad then that tells me the problem is with the road itself somewhere. You're right in that it can get cars around the city...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

But budgeting in the same way the Tories did - projecting growth to cover at least part of the shortfall when that almost always ends up being optimistic, especially using the kind of methods she is. Which means those budgets end up being worthless and 'budgeted for' stuff ends up getting...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You mention the "terrible previous administration" yet what she's doing is almost exactly the same just with sparkly new names (which are about the only remotely imaginative thinking that has gone into it). And unsurprisingly we're getting the same results - stagnant growth that is in fear of...

    Cov ring road

It's not a thing of beauty - it's an eyesore to look at. It works reasonably well if used correctly but there always seems to be some twat speeding down the lane people are supposed to be in and tailgating cos they think its an overtaking lane, hence a lot of people staying in the left hand...

    XG underperformers

Chances are Biamou's stats aren't too bad because he'd score some absolute worldies with a miniscule xG.

    Evil Fuckers

I agree entirely that access to SEND is nowhere near as good as it should or needs to be and so there may be a point there, but that's an act of desperation rather than a good choice

While I'm sure it's just a typo that sentence doesn't help your claim.

    The official NFL Thread

I remember that very clearly because as they set up I said to my sister "he's going to kneel it!" Dunno if there is just something slightly different in the set-up of both that I noticed subconsciously but I knew he was going to fuck it up. And it is mad that that kind of error would be enough...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Wouldn't put it past Boris. I think it's far more likely Farage will defect to the Tories in a year or so and then become leader before the next GE, which the Tories would win comfortably and make the last lot of Tory nutcases look almost sane.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Yeah. The party is both anti-immigration and pro- big business/rich. But those to are incompatable. For business to make huge profits low-wage immigration is absolutely vital. IF he got into power he would definitely put big business ahead of immigration. Trouble is he'd still find ways to...

How often do you see the BBC interrupt the news to tell you who's top of the charts?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I said it rarely happens now. I just fail to see how liberalising planning laws will result in communities with all the amenities - who is going to build them by choice when there's no money in it? Unless liberalise means let them do it cheap and shoddy and I don't see how that's better.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

But playing MvE for every game is knackering him out. We can't have him playing every game or he's going to get injured. We need another option there just to be able to spread his workload. If not by the end of Jan we'll be looking for a RB anyway cos MvE will be injured.

Match Thread Portsmouth FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Dec

I'd replace Bassette with Simms but maybe leave the rest for this game. I think Dovin at some point has to go between the sticks but it won't be yet. Defence I really don't know who to pick. You'd think Kitching must get a bit of game time soon - maybe the cup if not before?

Match Thread Portsmouth FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Dec

I've really got a feeling MvE is going to pick up an injury over the Xmas period and be out for a few months. At least we'd have Jan to bring in someone else. Also think Sheaf is carrying an injury and I expect Eccles and him will share that workload over the festive period. if not could see...
