    SISU/ARVO appeal turned down

For clarification. I would guess that the Higgs Trust as separated it's business from the operator of the facilities. Hence the creation of the Warwickshire Trust. This is due to the operator running facilities not owned by the Higgs Trust [i.e. Coventry Sports Centre] & the potential risk of...

    SISU/ARVO appeal turned down

I understand that the communications from the club has been that they wanted to establish an integrated stadium with academy facility. Therefore, Higgs Trust would have to consider other options for the use of their facility. The issue now is the timeline of the club realising that aim...

    The 'Beast' at AFC Wimbledon?

Only if he brings his sponsor paying CCFC millions with him. I presume that he's sponsored by weight watchers?

At least we don't need to worry about "pissing money away" not being promoted to the Premier league. There's no chance of any serous money coming TM way

    As It Stands

Agree - the unit costs of Premiership rugby are much smaller than football. I've heard quotes of non-international player, playing for Northampton earning £50k per annum, whist an international earns £100 - £200k ....and if you're England captain £250k per annum. Therefore, the business risk...

    As It Stands

I agree - We are in a period of stagnation and deterioration. The performances on the pitch this season did temporarily distract from the weakness of CCFC's position as a business. The continual conflicts between the various parties only fuels the alienation of the people of Coventry &...

    SISU/ARVO appeal turned down

Where can I buy shares in the law firm representing SISU? Never mind an ISA....this has to be a sound investment, as SISU love paying legal fees. The profit margins must be brilliant.

    Mowbrey and Venus

I agree. We need continuity and we currently have a manager who has shown a clear strategy and vision on how to get out of this division. I appreciate some of the supporters will not share his vision, but at least he looks like he knows what he's doing. Here's hoping that our board are robust...

Is this SISU cashing in on our Manager? Is there nothing that this lot won't sell off?

    RIP Ian Gibson

Gibbo was sheer class. His distribution was awesome. He could flight a ball over 50 yards into a players path, allowing the player to take control without breaking his stride. If he was playing today....he would be valued in the tens of millions!

Where does everyone see CCFC .............

Agree - we will be a club with a diminishing and ageing fan base. The only ones left will be those who remember the "good times" when we competed, rather than merely trying to maintain a business.

Pest exterminators enter the Wasps Nest?

Exactly - I cannot see any viable reason why Wasps would want CCFC to cease being a tenant. There is a minimal cost to Wasps by CCFC sharing the stadium.

Pest exterminators enter the Wasps Nest?

This seems very odd. My question is: "Why would Wasps want to jettison a guaranteed revenue stream"? It does not make any commercial sense....especially as all operators of stadium want to maximise the usage.

    Butts park arena?

15k capacity would be fine in Div 1 and has the potential of creating a positive atmosphere for the club [if we get behind the team!]. However, the challenges are: a] Car parking and transport to the ground. b] Having capacity to expand ultimately up to 30k if in the Premier league. c] The...

    Callum Wilson - windfall

I have doubts that CCFC will be able to reinvest 100% of any sell on clause. The audited accounts will show management fees and loan repayments to the parent company at a rate of interest that may not be optimum. In short, there are many ways that business processes can hide funds being redirected.

Reda Johnson - Should He Stay Or Should He Go?

Evidence over the past few seasons is that he is injury prone and misses large number of games. We need a settled team, especially in defence. Therefore, do not renew his contract, even on a game by game basis. We need to move on.

    Leicester

Thats how I feel about Leicester...they got away with administration without any penalty. However, I remember 1987 when we played a slightly under strength team at their place, pre-cup final and got away with a draw, which almost confirmed their relegation.

Should the team run out to this tune...

Agree Benny Hill is far too quick for some of our players. Try "The Show must go on"........"all those empty spaces, what are we living for...."

    Deering now a Director

The Higgs Charity Trustees are bound by strict rules on their actions by the their articles of association and answerable to the charity commission. They must act in the best interests of the charity and in this matter, they must have thought this was the best option for their charity.

Why did Waggot leave City ?

I would be very interested to see the management accounts for the club and see in the "fees" to SISU or "Consultants" have recently been adjusted upwards. That could account for a steep rise in the financial targets for the club.
