In one sense you are correct, but in playing those academy products there is a case to say that we saved money, in terms of signing on fees, etc for the players that we would have had to recruit as replacements for no academy products.

The academy has been generating a profit over the past few years. It's the only profit element of the business IMO.

I can remember singing "We'll score in a minute" - just before Benno picked up the flick on and stuffed it in the net. We also gave Jimmy Grieves some stick....and in the 70's we definitely did sing "You never walk alone" on some occasions.

The club is unsustainable now. This is another reflection on the total breakdown of relationships between all the parties and there is clearly NO CHANCE of reconciliation. The option is for CCFC invest in a new stadium and academy facilities ASAP.
