    Vincelot joins Bradford

Whilst I appreciate the angst regarding this sale. It is important to remember that we've always been a club that does deals to move the club in one direction or another. Examples being: a] Sale of Phil Babb led to Dion Dublin being signed. b] Kevin Gallagher being sold and Roy Wegerle being a...

    Vincelot joins Bradford

TM has to work within the resources he's given. Unfortunately, he's got £3 and a bag of chips to work with. The sad state of affairs is that we're selling players to teams with greater resources than us, who a few years ago were 2 - 3 levels of football below us. It is beyond depressing and...

The Academy - an alternative perspective

In one sense you are correct, but in playing those academy products there is a case to say that we saved money, in terms of signing on fees, etc for the players that we would have had to recruit as replacements for no academy products.

    Mowbray's view

Think your mate had been smoking something funny! Can't see TM being so candid.

The Academy - an alternative perspective

The academy has been generating a profit over the past few years. It's the only profit element of the business IMO.

Fans singing "you'll never walk alone" at 87 FA Cup final?

I can remember singing "We'll score in a minute" - just before Benno picked up the flick on and stuffed it in the net. We also gave Jimmy Grieves some stick....and in the 70's we definitely did sing "You never walk alone" on some occasions.

Mark Venus joins CCFC Board of Directors

This has to be a good move. A person with excellent technical knowledge sitting on the board. I hope he's listened to.

Email to Sport England re Higgs application

Sport England has recently published it's new strategy "Towards an active nation", which will guide all of their decision making. This document is a response to DCMS's strategy document from December 2015. The key question is on how CCFC contribute to raising activity levels in SE's key target...

    Future of this Football club.

The bleak reality is that the club will probably bump along in a deteriorating cycle, but not disappear. However, the biggest loss is the value of CCFC to the city and our culture - the football team impacted on the workplaces, schools, etc. So many of us were brought up with pride and passion...

So if this is a forced takeover...

Exactly and the theory that Wasps would be interested in an amalgamation are deluded.

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

The club is unsustainable now. This is another reflection on the total breakdown of relationships between all the parties and there is clearly NO CHANCE of reconciliation. The option is for CCFC invest in a new stadium and academy facilities ASAP.

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

Agree - If we are to use SISU's assertion that public funds cannot be misused, then CCC cannot subsidise CCFC. Wasps have enough of their own challenges to focus on, they surely don't need to get embroiled with everything else. I think the original post was revisiting old ground. Things have...

Planning application for Higgs submitted by Wasps

This sorry situation is a reflection of the breakdown in relationships between all the parties. CCFC along with Wasps are both important revenue generators for Coventry & Warwickshire region. Wasps are clearly investing hard cash into Coventry, hence any landlord or property developer will...

CA: Lease Extension At Higgs Ignored

Agree. They simply need to undertake a feasibility study of the options in relation to the facility and prospects for any redevelopment. It would be a positive step if both parties sat down face to face and discussed this! It's not good practice to air views via the media. However, it is a...

    SISU/ARVO appeal turned down

It's true that they've got a small ground, but they've benefitted from £ millions being fed into the club over a number of years.
