    CBS issues

How anyone can call this saga anyone but Wasps fault, as owners and landlords, is beyond me.... Despite the involvement of other relevant parties, SISU will ultimately have to carry the can, as owners, for the state of the club in the past 15/20/however many years... ...and Wasps have to take...

    Running

I'm pretty sure you can. As long as its not at times booked out to Godiva (tuesday and thursday evening), or any other group bookings they might have. There is a timetable/booking thing somewhere on the University Of Warwick website where you can do it online. However you should be able to...

Managed to recover in time for the English Champs at the weekend.... then promptly had a nightmare as i was badly affected by the heat, having to sit down three times.... i did manage to finish, but well down on where i should be. Last night was Godiva club night and we did 9 x 1 minute reps...

    Running

Ran in the North Wales Fell champs on sunday (interestingly the race registration was in England, the start/finish in Wales, and i believe the route crossed the border a couple of times) Was a hot day so i started conservatively and was surprised to find myself leading most of the way up the...

    Wasps out

This was a point i made on the Wasps Downward Spiral thread a couple of months ago... There's rightly a lot of hostility towards Wasps on here, and i expect the vast majority of other City fans, whilst perhaps not quite as bothered about them, would prefer them gone given the choice. But my...

Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs Rotherham United Match Thread - Sunday 7th Aug

Yeah i think it was 23 or 24k just for the QPR game. Really set the ball rolling on us never getting higher attendances, as we'd have sold out 32k and we destroyed QPR. It was a massive missed opportunity.

    Big crowds at the weekend

What i was referring to is that we regularly couldn't sell out Highfield Road against even the very top teams back then.... We did a lot, but i can recall many occasions where we couldn't sell out against Liverpool, Leeds, i'm sure at least once against Man Utd. Regardless of whether it was...

    Running

Yes, easily. If you are "comfortably" running a 10km then you've just got to run more often and for longer.... some longer specific training runs as well. If you're already running regularly then i'd say you can probably turn it round within 3 months.

    Big crowds at the weekend

I'm afraid i'm of the opinion that our home support is poor in comparison to "similar" clubs (and i am aware that it seems to be slowly improving. How far back do we go with the excuses... the past 20 years, granted have been pretty shocking... but our support was often poor through the...

    SISU ready to sell?

Yeah trying to justify a takeover by Red Bull is bullshit. Would be me done with it i'm afraid.

    Commonwealth Games

I was up at the Rugby Sevens on saturday evening courtesy of a last-minute freebie from a friend. First off, the queuing was a complete shambles. Basically the entire crowd had to go through that temporary scanning area outside the casino, so the queue was right back round to the bridge by the...

    O'Hare bids

If i were to rank all league clubs in terms of "size/stature/prestige" whatever you want to call it.... I'd have us probably about where we were last year... battling playoffs in the 2nd tier... although could make an argument for anywhere between lower reaches of top division, and middle of...

    Commonwealth Games

Sian Rainsley of Coventry Godiva Harriers came 12th in the Women's triathlon this afternoon. Kare, also of Cov Godiva, is competing in one of the wheelchair sprints over the weekend... she has a number of paralympic medals to her name already.

    Article on town centre development

I would personally keep the ring-road. It is unique. "Strangling the city centre" is not something i necessarily agree with.... it defines it well, and given that city centres appear to be "dying" generally, i think there is plenty of current city centre space which could/should be revamped as...

Match Thread ⚽️ Sunderland vs Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 31st Jul

I also said on their forum that i'd take a draw. ... play them 6-10 games in when they've been "softened up" a little and we are (hopefully) into our stride, and we are favourites... but opening game of season, they are going to be playing with no fear with a massive hostile crowd, there's no...

    Running

I ran in the English Fell Champs yesterday in the Northern Lake District. Was comfortably in the points positions (top 40 v40's) for most of the race, but fell apart spectacularly in the final hour. And crashed completely on the final descent and down the final mile of road back to the finish...

If we keep the big 3 (4 including Sheaf)

I think 9th-12th would again be an impressive finish, even with our strongest possible squad. Hope i'm proved wrong, but don't see us being strong enough to maintain a playoff charge (unless the miracle happens and we get another fantastic start to the season). (i don't necessarily blame the...

Track League yesterday on a very warm afternoon in Telford... First up for me was the 2km steeplechase, which i negotiated in a pb of 7:57.... not without its hairy moments though... i'd made an absolute hash on the barrier in the warmup which somewhat dented confidence, and although i got...
