    Sakamoto

He is amazing. My favourite player. He’s obviously loved by the team, the speed they all ran over when he was taken out on the touch line said it all.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 15th Mar

I didn't go today but watched on ifollow. What a match. It's all been said already but I have to agree that I can't remember such a complete performance for a long time. Every player was brilliant. Obviously Allen and Haji were the pick but Torp and Sakamoto not far behind and Grimes and Dasilva...

Match Thread Coventry City - Stoke City Match Thread - Saturday 8th Mar

I'm referring to your constant decrying of people who have an 'agenda' despite the fact that you seem have a clear agenda. You just outlined it above. Your agenda is to call out people who (in your opinion) 'talked utter nonsense about Lampard' and to put this straight. I shouldn't have...

Glad to see some people are able to admit that JDS had a good game today. So much 'that midget cost us again' bullshit on the match thread. The foul he gave away seemed soft and they seemed offside when they scored. Other than that I saw little wrong with his game

You state is as fact, it is an opinion. I think he was excellent

He played well. You just hate him, not sure why. Same with Biamou. You bore everyone. You would never admit it if he had a good game.

I actually thought he was great today. I left the match and read this thread on the train and was really surprised to read the abuse. Very unfair and driven by people searching for scapegoats.

I totally agree. Players give the ball away all the time but if it leads to goal in the next phase, people act as if it’s a worse mistake. It isn’t always. BTA played well today with a mistake or two. It doesn’t mean he should never play again.

I don’t closely follow who says what on here like others but I have to say that you are the person who seems to have the biggest ‘agenda’ that I notice. All you do is pick people out for anything positive about Robins and negative about Lampard. It’s definitely an agenda. But it’s ok to have an...

Why would Grimes not start? He’ll be first name on the team sheet. It seems likely to me that we will go with Grimes, Eccles and Sheaf and Torp coming on possibly.

Lurking is normal on a forum. Obsessing over another forum user is way more tragic.

Match Thread Oxford United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 1st Mar

I think Torp may start if fit. He was playing well before the injury and there will surely be some rotation with the CMs. Sheaf won't start, Lampard always seems cautious in bringing players back from injury preferring to increase their game time from the bench. I would think Bassette would drop...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

If Saddlebrains is right, and he always is on line-ups, this is exciting. JDS, BTA and Lati weren't great last time out so good to see Bidwell and Tats back in and EMC starting. I just hope we can get them in advanced positions and hit the channels, they could do a lot of damage against these I...

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

Fair point. I suppose it comes down to definition of 'must'. I uess 'must-win' is short for 'must win if we are going to get enough to points to reach the milestone I have in mind' in this case 6th place. So there are 'must-win' games, but this isn't one of them.

Match Thread Coventry City - Preston North End FC Match Thread - Saturday 22nd Feb

The concept of a game being 'must-win' is a bit like the argument about whether we are 'in a relagation battle'. It's meaningless, just a cliche. We want to win all games and the more we win the better our chances of whatever we're aiming for. Like the relegation battle, everyone is battling to...

    Calling it early

Yes this is fair, maybe ‘character’ was the wrong word. I just didn’t like him, maybe it was the association with Chelski, Jose, Oligarchs etc. We are used to that stuff these days but they were the first and it stank. Possibly not his fault but I had a dislike for him and Cole and Terry etc

    Calling it early

I’m exactly like Shmee, I didn’t want Robins gone and thought Lampard was a terrible choice. I didn’t like his character when he was a player and viewed managerial career as mediocre. I an willing to admit I was maybe wrong. We have been on an excellent run. Of course it’s possible that Robins...

You've mixed up your 80s advertising slogans, "You can do it if you B&Q it" "Don't just book it, Thomas Cooke it". I am very aware of this as I grew up in the 80s and my name is Thomas Cooke
