Chris Stokes signs 2 year deal!

Thomas, Haynes, Beavon and Bigi to sign would be great (in roughly that order of priority for me) Stokes - great news and adds further steel on the pitch. Bit of a hard case forward and we will have a right bunch of scrappers for a change (just hope they can play a bit as well!)

    David Smith-What Went Wrong?

It was comparative. He was playing in the top division, did ok - but was a bit lacking in his all round game. Why the comparison with Baker? It's like saying Beavon isn't as good as Speedie was. Different level of football.

    David Smith-What Went Wrong?

No, it was always the full back once they'd seen the same trick twice.

Why have the signings stopped ?

Contracts on a lot of players run out on 31/5? Would expect more movement after that, especially when the club are clearer who is/isn't staying. Can't believe anybody is seriously holding out on who we buy over the next day/week or so - a 'name' may turn out to be pants and an unheard of may be...

    Chumpionship playoff

Must admit that I was taken aback by hearing Huddersfield's record transfer fee still under £2M !! That will change soon, methinks!

How close is a takeover really...?

I agree that reading is more important; however, I wish SISU had studied maths more before running our beloved club!

How close is a takeover really...?

I have renewed my ST, and am not interested in wasting my energy in a SISU out campaign that won't make a jot of difference; however, I do see the impending expiry of the rental agreement as a milestone in forcing SISU to reveal their intentions as regards CCFC. Dislike them as much as I do, it...

How close is a takeover really...?

I don't want CCFC to be distressed - but, if our owners were squeezed to sell, as they had no viable stadium alternative without forking out ££££s, surely you would want that wouldn't you Nick? (i.e new owners who were willing to try and turn our fortunes around?)

I alway's thought Cloughie was a brillant manager

.... just checked on google . Livingstone never went to Forest (Blackburn?!). Good call with Rosario !

I alway's thought Cloughie was a brillant manager

Loved Wallace - gutted when he went = just remembered the other one - Steve Livingstone (vague memory of going to Forest,, again may be a memory thing!)

I alway's thought Cloughie was a brillant manager

Ian Wallace too - and what about that big lump of a centre forward we once had (damn - forgotten his name) - lanky, lots of hair and from the NE (did he score about 4 against Sunderland once? Memory is not what it was). Come on - help me out!!!

How close is a takeover really...?

Probably a naive view, but discounting the balance sheet semantics (and I profess to not fully understanding them) - I wondered if SISU were hoping that if CCFC could have a successful 17/18 season (i.e promotion) then they could gain a higher sale price form any purchasers. Surely they are...

Funny - I nearly chose Keogh - but it could be play offfs lower down the league?

    HAHAHAHA

Fair play to Italia for taking the stick so well. I liked hearing that Haskell was stomping round the pitch looking angry at the end - only as he had previous with some City fans IIRC. Anyway - fair play to Exeter - want the footie team to win the final tomorrow, too - although I've never been...
