    Wasps downward spiral...

Funnily enough doesn't seem to be any mention of it in the Telegraph.

    Who’s at work/Not at work?

Wonder how they came up with 80%, seems a bit random. Do they reckon that's the cost of going to work?

    Who’s at work/Not at work?

Same here. Not a huge difference for me as I'm the only one based in the Midlands. Just saves me sitting in traffic every day to get to the office which for unknown reasons they decided should be in Blythe Valley. Only real difference is no site visits but they weren't that frequent anyway...

    Coronavirus

Wonder how you get registered as vulnerable? My parents would both come under that and used to have a weekly Sainsbury's shop before all this started but can't get anything booked in now. Means tomorrow I'm going to have to try and do their shopping for them which I'm not looking forward to.

I think that's only if you're furloughed. The idea is you're still an employee of the company ready to come back to work when this is all over but in the meantime the company only has to pay 20% of you wage. Seems to be some huge flaws, obviously self employed miss out, anyone who is sacked or...

There's definitely questions that need to be answered when this is all over. Hopefully it won't just be a shrug of the shoulders and 'nothing we could do'. Seen this floating around on twitter today: https://chpi.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/CHPI-report-GettingBehindCurve-Dec-2013.pdf It's...

    Coronavirus

Nothing has changed has it. Still people packed into trains and tubes, still queues at supermarkets. I'm sat at home working and can see loads of people walking / driving past. Sure they aren't all going somewhere essential or using their daily exercise allowance. Don't think Gove helped this...

I'm in IT as well and it seems very vague. Our clients include healthcare providers and food manufacturers which would be classed as essential. But does it really then follow that the whole company is required. How essential is it to have sales in for example? Fortunately I can work entirely...

Depends who those people were going to vote for. There have been some claims, although we may well be in tin foil hat territory, that Republican and swing states are receiving a much greater percentage of requested emergency medical supplies than democrat states. Not sure I believe that...

To be honest I'm still not entirely sure about the 80% thing they announced for salaried employees. It seems to only apply if you still have a job. ie: your employer can claim back 80% of your salary. But if they decide they don't want to pay the 20% it seems like you're in the same situation...

We've got plenty of clients doing the same. Seems to be very few companies that actually give a shit. Of the ones that have closed you get a suspicion that a decent percentage of them have done it because its more cost effective than staying open.

Exactly. They've completely failed to get a grip on the problem. Just parroting that there's no shortages. So now they've told people to shop online, people will try to book and see no slots and head to the store to buy what they can. Will have to wait and see but can easily see it being the...
