"You think SISU deliberately set out to destroy CCFC" I stand corrected those were not words you put into my mouth but thoughts you ascribed to me. I do not think such a daft thing. Why would I? I have been very neutral about SISU since they took over and try to take a balanced view. However...

Grendel, if you read my post I did not claim that no one buys food in the stadium or parks there. When you make inaccurate assertions about my views a debate becomes pointless.

Grendel, I don't live in Coventry, but if I did I would expect my council to spend my council tax wisely. Perhaps you didn't understand the last sentence of my previous post was an analogy? It isn't my personal money but it is the people of Coventry's money.

I think you put a load of words into my mouth too, there, Taylor. Your posts are full of unfounded assumptions and assertions about other posters' views. FWIW I have met many politicians down the years, of several parties too. I disagree with some but do not dismiss their public service...

IMO based on observation most fans don't buy anything at the ground or park there so it would surprise me if these figures are accurate.

Win on weds 4-0 or next Sat 1-0?

4 nil on Wednesday would carry us on a wave and end the season with a lift. This would benefit us next season whatever division we are in.

The idea that local councillors of all parties are, to a man (and woman) careerist politicians, is laughable. Some extreme prejudice is blinding you to reality. Local councillors are, in many cases, local people from all walks of life, with experience and expertise. To tar them all as...

    The Council or SISU?

Hedge fund v the people of Coventry (if I have to spell that out: the council are elected by and accountable to the people of Coventry and subject to strict controls, audits and duties of care) It really is that simple, but this thread explains to me why so many working people are...

What song represents your view of the Sky Blue Season ? ( A Just-for-fun thread )

Can't believe you said it was by Westlife???? How can you overlook an ABBA classic and ascribe it to a cover? Tut, tut.

    New club statement

Wondering what companies some on here work for? No wonder the economy is fxxked with people just thinking short term. Long term stability in business is more successful in the long run.

What song represents your view of the Sky Blue Season ? ( A Just-for-fun thread )

The lyrics of, "Oops, I did it again," came to mind when I saw this thread, yesterday. They seem amazingly apt in the light of today's unfolding events and the week as a whole. Maybe I'm psychic after all.

    MR is correct

Actually the players have done the business away and in many cup ties. The home fans have seen a mediocre set of performances... Unconvincing, disjointed and always likely to concede.

    I have a hunch...

We have more chance of winning this tie than we do of getting promoted IMO. We know we can score 3 or 4 goals in away games. Of course we may concede but we could still win 3-0, 4-1, 5-2. A betting man would fancy that. Over 90 minutes we can play with no fear and just give it a blast. Most of...

    Baker & Moussa

Fans that have been only to home games probably wonder about Moussa, OP is right there. Only glimpses of quality in home games ... He seems to play only in short bursts. Baker cannot be faulted as he was our best player again last night ... Though Elliott ran him close.

    Sky Blue Ultras

Away games singing Twist and Shout. I remember Albion fans being impressed when we did it for most of the second half at the Hawthorns a few years ago. It is a great song for mass singing. Perhaps twisting them scarves at the same time? On another note Albion fans have The Lord's my shepherd.
