Many say it’s about quality not quantity which I do broadly agree with, however just in pure numbers, our midfield is a problem. We do need more to support fitness and reduce pressure on others.
All contextual. Don’t desperately need one, but I look at that midfield and just cannot see it getting top 6. Simply through injury rather then quality.
The lack of depth leads to a vicious circle. If we had more midfielders, it reduces game time and pressure on players like Sheaf. A reason why, at time of speaking, not signing another is pretty sloppy.
This pretty much nails it. A very weird transfer policy if we don’t bring in any other midfielder. It really shouldn’t have been left this late either. The midfielder depth has been a problem from last season.
