Do you want to discuss boring politics?

From the sounds of things sending people to Rwanda is going to cost many times the amount we'd spend keeping them here, what a genius plan.

Student loan interest - an absolute disgrace

They weren't written off, the pre 2012 loan books were sold to dodgy debt collection companies with no provision for the existing terms to be maintained which resulted in aggressive pursuit of money owed. The companies involved were regularly in trouble with the ombudsman for dodgy practices.

Given who this is from I assume that he actually has a source. Guess it shows what his priorities are.

    Rishi’s wife

Do the people who tirelessly defend the government not get sick of this? This consistently happens, they spend days defending whatever the latest scandal is only for there then to be a u-turn.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Every metric we use shows that productivity has gone up significantly with everything working from home. We also had a meeting where we had to go round everyone in the company and them say if they wanted to go back to the office or not. One or two said they'd like the option but everyone else...

    Things that annoy you

Sure I've posted this one before but people who let their dogs walk off lead by roads. I don't care how well trained your dog is they only need to be spooked once.

In what scenario would SISU sell?

and that's the problem in a nutshell. there's no incentive for the to sell below the price they want while they can keep the club ticking over and there's nobody interested that has the kind of money to thrown away. unless you were a fan of the club why would you pay over the odds for us given...

In what scenario would SISU sell?

Money will make them sell. As much as they say the club is not for sale over and over again they will have a figure in mind and if a serious buyer came forward and was in that ballpark I'm certain there would be talks.

Problem we have is there's no real option, you've got these idiots or the Conservative. Lib Dems & Greens locally seem to be virtually non-existent.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

had a quick look at the account but couldn't see who was behind it. interesting, given how long it takes the council to respond to anything, they seem to have managed to get someone out within hours to take down the estate agent style boards.

    Bin Strikes

Conservatives in wanting to privatise something shocker. No collection again yesterday, was supposed to be the first recycling collection since before Christmas and this morning some genius has decided the best time to do the bins on the A45 is during rush hour, the results were predictable.

    The 'quality' of Womens Football

its a great achievement for sure, no doubt about that. but you also need context, according to the radio this morning tickets for a mens game there start from €100 where this was free for members and €9 for everyone else, the next step is to get these side crowds week in week out rather than a...

    Blackburn not on ifollow

this has to be an EFL thing. the company that runs ifollow also does that NHL, and many other leagues, and the only games that aren't available to stream in the UK are the ones on Premier Sports, not any game that's on in Germany or wherever. There's no way they're building a bespoke system...
